What do you think is an appropriate pay reduction for Vick?

So, my question here is ... assuming that Kelly decides that he can work with Vick, what do you think would be an appropriate pay reduction for him? What is a reasonable salary for a starting QB with his history? One that works for both Vick and the Eagles cap-wise.

I don't either but isn't that the problem? You kind of have to decide whether or not he is the starter because he's not going to restructure at a backup salary. Everyone keeps saying restructure him & then have an open competition but it's not quite that simple. Paying someone $9-10 million to sit on the bench, if he loses the competition, is a huge waste of salary cap. I know that the Seahawks did it with Wilson/Flynn this year but it's pretty unusual not to mention can create tension on the team.
I suppose that the Eagles could pay the $3 million bonus in February and then squat on him for awhile, releasing him before the season started if they felt he wasn't going to be the starter ... but that doesn't seem to be a good message to send to the team either.

Are you freaking serious? Why in the world do you think Vick fits Chip Kelly's system? Let me guess because he can run. Do you happen to notice he is slower and gets hurt almost every time he runs? Have you noticed that Chip Kelly has said 500 times that his offense doesn't need a mobile QB? Do you notice there are hundreds of backup and practice squad mobile QB who can run the offense better than Vick?
Vick is too dumb to run a fast tempo offense. He's too dumb to run any NFL offense.
THE MAN HAD MORE TURNOVERS THAN TD THE LAST TWO SEASONS!!! WHY DO YOU IDIOTS STILL THINK THE EAGLES EVEN WANT HIM? To answer your question, I would assume that he would have to pay the Eagles to be on this team next year!
Seriously, does anything productive go on in your brains? I am proud to be an Eagles fan but I acknowledge, Eagles have the most morons as fans that I have ever seen!!

Umm, if you actually read what I posted, I said that I didn't want Vick here. But you have to at least acknowledge the possibility that Kelly/the Eagles may decide otherwise.
So, my question is, assuming that is the case, what do you do with him (because everyone knows that he's not getting his full salary here or anywhere)?

Lets wait and see who all COMES available at F/A time. Smith is still under contract BTW same with Flynn....
Vick is 33 and his talent is declining. The MEDIA believes Vick has value.... I dont think the league does.
There will be a team somewhere, without a viable QB option this year, who needs to sell some tix's that will take a one year flyer on Vick.... but it wont be a fight amongst more than possibly two cellar dweller teams...

That was in hopes he could be transformed the Andy Ried way so we could then trade him and get a 2nd or 3rd rounder... obviously that didn't work out

From what I hear he will essentially become the highest paid Waterboy in the NFL....
His clipboard skill will improve in time and he may even make the move up to official back up QB somewhere.....

If you're calling other NFL starting QB garbage, what do you call Vick? I think there are at least 10 NFL backups better than him.
