The infraction came in the second quarter of the Patriots' 28-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens when Brady scrambled, then slid with his leg up as Ravens safety Ed Reed approached. Brady's foot hit Reed in the thigh, even though he tried to jump over the quarterback.
Reed's teammate, Bernard Pollard, called out Brady after the game, calling the kick "bullcrap." Brady later apologized to Reed in a text message.

Good.  Ask baseball players how dangerous siding with your cleats facing upward can be.  He's slid over hundreds of times, and I've never seen him do that. He tried taking Reed out.  There's no other reason why he would slide with his foot up.

Should have been much more, he intent to take out Ed's knee is evident. I think he shocked himself and what a J.O. move that was and quickly apologized. Man I hope that team never wins another SB while Bilincheat and Brady are there.

Yep, what a league.

NFLN's replay with audio showed Brady apologized right on the field, saying "sorry about that" as he and Reed patted eachother on the helmet. Reed was wired for sound.

10K is a parking ticket for Brady.  If they didn't do it, the entire league would have been up in arms about unfairness because the league has fined D players like 150k and 400 yds of penalties on ticky tacky fouls on Brady over the years.

As Goodell's #1 hater, I say he got it right this time.

Frank Gore got a bigger fine because his socks were too short.  While I applaud the fine on Brady, things are still out of whack.

Yup.  99% of Goodell's fines are out of whack and i bash him for it almost every day.  He got one right.  Hip hip hooray.
