The Bill Walsh Treatise

I normally wouldn't come into this forum with an article on the Internet, but I'll make an exception here:

The piece is too long to quote, but it's a fabulous read and I highly recommend that you do so when you get a chance.

The reason I posted here is that apparently, not every coach has had a chance to read through Walsh's masterpiece. Was wondering if you could discuss it sometime when you are interviewing Coach Kelly.

Thanks.

Despite his personal issues.....he is my all-time favorite NFL coach, and I agree with his general philosophy, which was shared by Lombardi, and others, that the bar must be set at absolute perfection, and although in reality it is unattainable, because human beings are flawed, it will be in pursuit of that standard of absolute perfection, that true excellence will be captured. Good isn't good enough, ever.....and it was one of my biggest dislikes about Reid, who was IMO, the king of compromise.

To me, goes beyond journalism. An interesting piece of literature.
