Eagles schedule will be the toughest in the East this year. The Eagles and Redskins have to play Green Bay, Minnesota, and Denver on the road, while the Cowboys and Giants get to play them at home. Those three teams combined for a home record of 21-3 last year. Every team in the East this year will have to play Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Green Bay, Denver, Kansas City, Oakland, and San Diego, with each team getting 2 non-common opponents. Eagles get it easy at that part. The Redskins' non-common opponents combined to be 24-7-1, Giants' opponents combined to be 21-11, Cowboys' opponents combined to be 17-14-1. The Eagles' opponents? 9-23. Those two teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals, which aren't as easy as their records show. We beat Tampa Bay last year by Nick Foles's awesome touchdown pass at the end and we lost to the Cardinals by ironically 9-23. However, it might get easier as the stupid Todd Bowles, who of course was our interim DC last year, is the new DC of the Cardinals. The Eagles have a good match-up against him with Chip Kelly's spread offense attacking the opposing teams' secondaries, which Bowles sucks at defending. But, the point differential of the opponents this year is where the Eagles have the disadvantage. The Cowboys' opponents have a point differential of -118 and the Giants' opponents have one of -97. The Redskins have almost of hard of a schedule as the Eagles with their oppenents' point differential being at +84. The Eagles' opponents have one of +92.
Some thoughts on the Eagles' 2013 opponents

The point differential has more to do with The Eagles not scoring than it does with the opponents scoring a lot.

time will tell the tale for Bowles and the Cardinals defense. he's holding some pretty good "cards" this time around. he may do better than some are thinking.
otherwise, we just have to set our sights on getting better, no matter who is on the schedule, it may not be pretty at first.
