The Eagles can't trade Vick.  If they don't want him anymore, they have to release him.

if you suggest we pass on joeckle if per some chance he is still there than you honestly have no idea about football and thus no right to an accredited opinion. Joeckle is the best tackle prospect since joe thomas according to the scouts and weather or not you believe he is going to be the best tackle in the league in 4 years, he is worth all the risk for the reward. Id rather have casey matthews next year and take milliner now, but thats a long way off. If joeckle is there he is the guyl and if you ont think so, you dont understand the philosophy that the line is where it starts, which has been proven on almost every SB team, and winning teams in general. Now I have football practice, so i dont have time to explain the rest of football 101 class to you.

the eagles draft for tallent over need, as we have seen and head howie make a huge deal about since he got here. Thats what the pats do. Joeckle is the guy if hes there if not miliner and jefferson are our first 2 rounders, and if the eagles dont do tha they are dumb

The chance Joeckle will still be there is 10000000 to 1.

Draft Jarvis Jones or Dee Milliner. Defense needs revamp. And I'm in favor of Nnamdi over to safety. He's still a hitter, not a Dawkins type, but a guy who isn't afraid to hit. The only downside is that, in my opinion, he's a better man coverage guy than zone. But he can be taught how to play zone better.

@pace7525 - please dont post stuff if you dont know what youre talking about.... Banks and Rhodes are both Juniors and therefore did not get invited to the Senior Bowl..... so you saying that they had a horrible game and week of practises doesnt make any sense at all

oh and to add on... ive seen many many many mock drafts that dont have Elam or Reid going in the first

Really Allen Iverson ?  Where do you come up with this crap. They are interested in the Ravens linebacker coach and the Niners secondary coach. Those are guys they are looking at, and thank god. We need a pro DC. As far as getting a QB to just run like Webb and Pryor , that is ridiculous. This is the NFL and that crap does not work here. Give me a break. Foles might not be his guy for the long haul but he is gonna put a QB on the field that can throw.  I think we can get Reid or maybe even Elam in the second. But i think Elam might go late 1st.

They will only keep Vick for trade purposes. They can watch the tape. Foles played smarter and better football. Behind  a even more injured O line. I think tempo is very important to Kelly and although Vick can run. He can't run the O, even when he has time. He makes too many mistakes. He can not audible well. He would crumble under the hurry up pressure. But Foles showed poise and toughness.  Sure Kelly wan't to get his QB to develop but he is not stupid. He is gonna put the best players on the field. Plus get the best staff he can. He is well respected and it is his first pro job. I think Kelly and Roseman can assemble an exciting winning team. Might take a couple years to get where we want. But a pro staff high draft picks and cap room. You never know. Look at the Colts, they went from last to the playoffs. Very similar situation. Good draft good free agency and a new staff. If we can get the right pieces in place. Even a wildcard is better then 4 wins.

Kelly is prob high on Geno Smith. Imagine if Geno was on Oregon? You know he is thinking about it. Not that i def want that. Just saying bet he wished he had him last year.

u guys dont know much about geno smith, hes not much faster or athletic than foles. he dumps short passes galore and which is why his accuracy was good.   ppl make comments about the things they hear or assume but not what they know. geno is not fast, or a good running qb, not accurate on the deep ball , and has a hard time with decisions on when to escape the pocket to run. but ppl who havent watched him play wouldnt know that. they just jump on what other ppl say, or that hes better than sum of the other qbs which isnt saying much. sum ppl just assume cause hes black he is a athletic mobile qb.

I agree with dub sel on Geno Smith, he really is not that impressive!  Although, your comment on taking another rb I don't necessarily agree with, but not sure what you reference was n that comment, it seemed like you were answering someone else!  My belief on our first pick is, if our core guys all come back healthy  (Peters, Kelce, Herremans, and Mathis), I think that we can pass up on a o-lineman and go for a big time defensive player.  I love the big lineman coming out this year. Lutulelei, Jenkins, Williams, or Hankins would beast up that line next to Cox, and allow Cox to be more of that speed rusher he normally is.  Milliner or Jones would be nice too.  Any way they go I think it would be smart to go D with the first pick.  All of this said of course with the thought that our O-line is coming back healthy.  If Kelly doesnt think that they are...then you gotta go with a O-lineman.  Also, dropping back a few spots and getting more picks and possibly another first rounder for next year would be smart too!

@pace ..... omg please leave.... game tape is the biggest part of scouting, a guy can have great fundamentals in practise then go on the field and suck.  :p

oh and also there is something called a pro day which is where prospects put their skills on display during DRILLS lol

again you prove to us how you dont understand the process of scouting, and also dont understand the difference between a Senior and a Junior...... you are right about one thing though ;) you can post whatever you want lol even if it shows your limited knowledge (Y)

Im not completely sold on him yet... I do think that he will be our QB for this year, and i think the eagles should avoid drafting a QB this year cause I've heard that next years draft should have a bunch of QBs that will fit Kellys scheme better

But first we should atleast give Foles the benefit of a full offseason as starter and a full season to see how he does

Pace,

Lets spend 60 million dollars on a left tackle when we have Jason Peters. Who is apparently done because of ACL tears. Lol. 1st mistake. 2nd mistake, let's put Peters, one of the best LTs in the league when healthy, to the right side of the line. As if this is madden, and switched to the opposit side of the line is just easy as 123. Try writing with your off hand, or throwing a football with your offhand, and do it as accurate as you strong hand. And tell me how easy it is. Your drop steps, slides, and mentality has to be completely reversed. We're not going to pig that much money into two OTs, sorry bud.

Oh and Jake long has been anything but consistent the last two years, possible his worst two years of his career.

Walterfootball.com, CBS Sports, NFL.com, don't have both of the safeties going round one. So it's not virtually every mock in the history of mocks.

Not sure how Rhodes looked in the senior bowl. He must be that rare product that they think is so special they send an invite to a junior.

Yes let's revamp our secondary for a decade in one draft, that's the most realistic thing I've ever heard of. Man you're a genius. It must be so easy! Why trading down makes sense, because eagles have more than 2 holes, and 3rd round talents don't naturally fix those holes. But a later first and more seconds does!

Lastly, Foles is a future QB? Why is that? Because he's tall and had 6TDs to 5 INTs? What a natural star!

I love how you back tracked on the CBs at the senior bowl. Even though you stated they were average throughout, they didnt have good practices, and they didnt have an impact on the senior bowl. So clueless in fact, that Johnthan Banks was actually invited to the Seniorbowl, Rhodes was not, and you still retracted your statement, again from lack of knowledge. Good job!

@GoEagles614 --- Thank you!! lol I was hoping some one else would come in here and give some extra proof lol....... btw ill admit that i made a mistake about Banks and Rhodes, i though they were both Juniors but Banks is a Senior and Rhodes is a redshirt Junior so technically they both coouuld have been in the Senior Bowl buut i do know they werent

We will suck for at least the next year, so we can rebuild in 2. I do not think that Joeckel is a bad pick if he is the highest rated player on the board. Yes I would trade down because we have too many holes and the talent at the top is OK but not stellar.

@ThaPhenom..... I have a feeling Foles will do pretty well In 2013. I do agree about drafting QB's next year although I only know of a handful of the QB's that will be available. Foles will benefit from a healthy O-line and McCoy. Plus he has Jackson to throw the ball deep to.

Foles is trash, sorry to anyone else that thinks otherwise. We should take Milliner 1st and draft EJ Manuel in the later rounds. I would rather give Dennis Dixon a shot then let Foles start again.

@drohan8592 ------- Couldn't agree more. I think Foles has potential to be a great quarterback. Given the bad circumstances he was put in last season. But I really think Milliner or Jockel first pick and I'm big on taking E.J. Manuel later on!

Drohan8592 I don't really see why you think Foles is trash.  He came in under crazy circumstances with almost no one left from the original offense and played well.  Did he make mistakes...of course, but let's face it...the team gave up last year and many games were not his fault we lost!  I definitely don't think that there is anyone coming out this year that is better than him, and what is it with Dennis Dixon that everyone is so high on?  He sucks

Best perspective is the the long view.  If there is no sure QB in this draft then you give Foles a full year.  If he proves not the guy then you draft a QB in 2014 (if he's not the guy we should unfortunately have a decent draft pick).  In the mean time I'm in the trade down camp.  Hands down, safety is the weakest position on this team.  If you don't move Nnamdi or pick up some help in free agency, then your only solution is the draft.  There is no one on our team in that position that can be developed into what we need.

For the record I don't subscribe to the "best player available" montra.  I think you fill by need or find additional value in more picks. There would be no need to draft a RB, even if it were the next AP. I feel the same about Joekel. He's more of a value to someone else than he is to us, say Carolina or TB.  We'd come out of it with a mid round first (Milliner maybe), a second, and maybe a second from 2014? There's more value there than in the depth of drafting Joekel and him sitting behind Peters, Bell and Herremans.

Go Birds.
