There are a ton of threads about our QB situation, our offensive scheme, and a switch to the 3/4 on defense..

My question is when will we ACTUALLY have answers about these 3 topics? And I dont mean "we have 2 LB coaches so we are gonna run the 3/4" OR "chip ran the spread in college so he will run it in the NFL"

do we wait until rookie mini-camps? OTAs?? Training camp?? does chip or his coordinators fill us in at some point?
its been 14 years since any POSSIBLE scheme changes were talked about with the eagles so i dont know how it works.

I would "guess" that we will know a little at a time.. The coaching staff is first most important, then Free Agency and DRAFT... Anything they can do to limit other teams from knowing what they want will help acquire the players they want.... I am anxious for answers, but reality is just enjoy the ride for now.

I'd say after the Free Agent period and Draft we should be able to draw enough conclusions.

The QB situation will start to become clearer as the new league year approaches. I'm not saying exactly on March 12th but as we get closer to that date, we should what they're gonna do with Vick or at least have an idea as to which way their leaning. As far as the offensive scheme, I personally don't think we'll have that answered until the regular season starts. In OTAs we won't see much, the beat writers will try to tell what they've seen, and of course they'll try some things in the preseason, but ultimately we won't know until the regular season. And as far as the defensive scheme goes, it'll be basically the same thing as the offensive scheme.

Maybe some things shake out and become clear sooner based on what they do with personnel but even then it'd be hard to tell.

As long as he can adjust mid-game in order to actually position the players to win, I don't care

I like the approach.   Keep everyone guessing.   Then explode with all of the gifts of good players and coaches.  I hope he take this approach into the season. I like it,  keep the other teams guessing as to what the Eagles are going to do, and then game day blow up in their faces. yeah,  I like this.

I think 47 more threads ought to do it.

Once the SB is over, and we can hire our DC, and the whole coaching staff is in place, only then will these questions be answered.

All we can do is guess.  It would seem logical that once the rest of the coaching staff has been assembled and it is announced to the public, we may hear something about the defensive scheme we'll run at that time (but have to believe it won't be any sooner).  QB - probably nothing until we hear what their decision is with Vick.  But what they do in FA and the draft will probably be the most telling.  Again, all guesses.

Yep.  But when the Mystery is solved I will bet it's going to be great. The Eagles are going to locked and loaded and ready to get back in there in a few years. :-)

We won't have all the answers until final cutdown day in September when we see the final roster.

We should see a lot during training camp. What formation the D takes on 7 on 7 should show plenty. Whether someone like Cox or Kendricks move inside or out will tell a lot.

Even the draft will suggest a lot about the D. Offense will be trickier to decipher how much it changes in style.

*****NEWSFLASH***** You're gonna know a lot sooner than March 12 what they're gonna do with Vick. He's due a roster bonus of $3 mil. by Feb 6 if he's still on the team. The only question is: is it worth the risk of paying Vick $3 mil. to see if he can work in CK's offense? Or to see if he has any trade value? If it were me I'd cut him after the Super Bowl and move on. After last year's debacle no one's gonna want him unless he's bargain-basement.

Newsflash they only have to pay Vick the roster bonus the difference between whatever another team picks him up for and the 3mil.  So if another team signs him at 3.1mil we don't owe Vick squat so Feb 6th doesn't mean anything unless we cut him.

Geez, you'll know when you know.  Kelly and roseman are probably working around the clock trying to hire the rest of the staff, doing player evaluations, talking to the scouting department, getting ready for free agency.....

You're a fan.....that means your last on the list to get answers.....

I dont want to know. Because if I know before the draft/FA, the Cowboys,Giants, and Redskins know and that only helps thier cause.

One thing the Eagles do have going for them right now is that nobody knows what the new look Eagles offense will be like. The teams in the division(and League) had 14 years of tape to watch and it was same ole AR. They adjusted to him to the point where, in the last few years, they laughed at the Eagles play calling.
