Randy is a die-hard fan from Wilkes-Barre PA.....  We have watched many many Birds games together and he understands and looks at things from a different perspective.

He mentioned there will be a couple surprise players traded....

Free Agency signs:   Wallace Gilberry  DE  3-4 , 6'3" 277   Cincy.  Nice addition to our rotation.
  4 years....  18M   6 Guaranteed.

  Keenan Lewis  CB    Pittsburg  6'0" 204    6 years  40  mill    16 Guaranteed.

  Louis Vasquez  OG   SanDiego  6'4" 327    6 years  38M   12 Guaranteed.

  Jared Cook  TE   6'5"  245 4 Yr  24M    8 Guarenteed.

Draft:    9. From Jets:   Chance Warmack   OG   6'3"  322    Comp:  3rd & 5th.

   35.   Jordan Poyer  5'11" 190   CB ASO & DRC are History.

   67.   Phillip Thomas  SS  6'1" 215

   72.   Via Jets:   Menelik Watson  ORT   6'6" 320

   96.   Vick to Chiefs, 4th rd Comp:    EJ Manuel  QB  6'4"  225

   98.   Kwame Geathers  NT   6'5"  350

129.   Marquess Wilson  WR   6'2" 191

134.   Via Jets:   DJ Swearinger  FS   5'10" 209

Rd 6.  DeVonte Hollomas  OLB  3-4   6'2"  242
Rd 7.  Devin Smith  CB  5'11" 188

As you can see our Oline will be ablbe to handle anything coming at them with
   Vasquez/Warmack combo at OG....

   Lewis/Poyer/Boykin   @ CB

   Phillip Thomas/ Allen @  S

The other additions are all solid football players with good attitudes and love of game.

What do they do with Mathis, Herremans, Watkins and the money they have spent on them and then to account for the $ you want to give your additions????? :meh:  Warmack as a draft pick would be fine I just wouldn't go after Vasquez  with the idea of replacing Mathis with him. I'd keep Mathis and save the $ and I think he's a better OG.

I think Kelly might have found a spot at RT... I would like to see the following line..  Peters LT, Mathis LG, Kelce C, Herremans RG, Kelly RT.  Then to draft Warmack learn for a year or have him RG and Herremans stay at RT and Kelly as first sub for OL.  I just wouldn't do the Vasquez deal.  It seems like a lose lose deal.  I think they still need to add a OT in the Draft say anywhere 3rd-5th round range.  If we go to a 3-4 alignment I would go OLB 1st. 2nd rd CB,  3 rd S, 4th LB,  5th rd OT.. Then BPA.

I agree with the others. I think you can't spend 38 mil On an OG, then spend a top 10 pick on another OG, especially when you have Evan Mathis.

I don't like Jared Cook, very inconsistent. Has the skills set, but disappears.

Lewis is very inconsistent and with their zone blitz scheme in Pitt they really limited his responsibilities. Don't want him.

I'd also agree with many on the guard conversation. Personally I think our guards will be Evans, Herremans and potentially Watkins (if a new coaching style can help). That's decent depth already. Adding two more is somewhat of a head scratcher.

We just went through that season to have our 1st rounder "learn for a year".

Mathis is soooo underrated and never should we let a top 10 pick learn for a year

Well guess your a peep that since their a 1st rd pick they get the position handed to them regardless of whether the said player is better or not.  Good logic on your part. There usually is more 1st rd busts each year then there are studs taken so with your logic you would have a hell of a team.  Yea the idea is to get an impact player especially with a top ten pick in the 1st but I was just trying to use some of the picks he made and yea I don't think Warmack would beat out our current OL in his 1st yr so I said that and also said maybe have him play RG and Todd RT.  But I said what positions I would pick and Warmack wasn't it in the 1st was it?

I only know Randy wants to build a great Oline..... Let them battle it out.   Watkins, maby trade....

Warmack would beat any OG on our roster easy for a starting job.....

We all saw how depth really hurt last season...

Any comments on the rest of his draft selections...???????

The free agents are great, not a splash but solid players. If we keep DRC and let Nnamdi go Lewis is solid replacement. And to the guys who said Cook is inconsistent...try having the QBs they have had in Tenn for the past few years slinging you the ball and see how consistent you are. I think cook would be an amazing add.

Agree if we add Vasquez don't draft Warmack. Use that top on another DT or something
