Anyone that saw me comment on the articles saying that Desean wants Vick to be his QB knows how much this bothered me. The article twisted Jacksons words and unfortunately people believed it.

People kept posting articles that "quoted" Desean saying wanted Vick. He clearly says in the interview that both QB's are great and he said Kellys in evaluation mode and will pick the QB that he thinks he is best. Rather than all comment quoting the article, all actually WATCH the video!

You take things too seriously bro, Eagles aint winning the superbowl for another 5 years atleast, makes no difference who the QB is in the near future. Hopefully I will see a superbowl trophy in the nest before I die....

I don't take anything the Vicksters say as gospel. You have to know,  anything that gives them the slightest  hope ( no matter how minor a comment )  is comming from anyones mouth regarding Vick, is  going to be taken as gospel to them.

I listen to what  Roseman and Chip say publicly  in their interviews. They are the ones who matter to me. Not what some reporters want to take out of an interview from another team mate. Or from what  the Vicksters want to believe  was said .

20 years of being a fan and you're whiny? Over the last 20 years, we are 7th in win percentage. We've been one of the best teams in the league over that time frame.

Really? I've been a fan for over 60 yrs and I still find myself optimistic every season. Things have a way of changing in the blink of an eye throughout a season . Did the Ravens look like they were SB contenders in the begining of the season? Did the Giants during their winning season ? They got healthy and started to play solid football. Thats what turned their seasons around. The same can happen for us this season or next inspite of how it may appear at present. Or that you tell yourself.

I wouldn't go that far. I enjoy the 4 month football season. The quality of play during the season matters a lot to me. The Eagles just haven't been one of the best teams. One of the better teams but not nearly in the best category

You sir are an idiot. True fans are optimistic every year and for someone that has been a fan for 20 years you must not watch much football. It does not take teams 5 yrs to rebuild and never has. This team has a lot of pieces in place already also.

I am not sure what is going to happen next season or the season following.  But I do know in the NFL anything is possible.  For example look at the Redskins.  They were right back in there by simply adding a Qb.  The Eagles finally got a coach (I Hope) that doesn't think they are "Fine There" every season.  And it was clear they were not.  And a lot of the pieces are in place.  So looking at things thru our eyes we say,  they will not be ready to contend in 4 or more years is not an unreasonable statement.  But, to be able to predict the future is.  But I am going to continue to hope they are ready to go way before that amount of time.  I guess that's part of the fun of being a Sports fan.  Maybe,  just maybe with a new coach and the players developing a new attitude you never know what could happen.

you claimed that jackson never said he wanted vick back....not only does he say he wants vick back he say he will be back

Yeah the articles I was talking about were the ones that said he specifically wanted Vick back as his QB over Foles.

If you don't think having the 7th best record over a 20 year span isn't being one of the best, you're nothing but a fool...especially when you look at the fact that 4 of those teams have had a hall of fame QBs for the majority of the duration and the remaInIng 2 had historic level defenses for an extended amount of time.

There's 32 teams in the league. Number 7 will always be considered ONE of the top teams. Further the eagles have also played the 5th most playoff games over that time frame.
