All confidence was lost in Kaepernick after that and more so after he almost threw a second. The play calling got very vanilla after that. It indeed had a significant impact.

SFs play calling in the second half was not any more vanilla than it was before the INT. In fact it ws opened up and the game was put in Kaeps hands. Even a lot of Gore's yardage came on QB read option plays

No i meant that you completely excluded them from your valuation. Are you trying to say that they are not accountable at all towards the 100% or that the 30% Quarterback portion also includes the rest of the offense by default?

No, not that they aren't accountable, but, like you said, the QB % includes the offense by default.

Sorry, but you'd be a fool to say that the int and the timeout were the two single plays most responsible for that loss. Anyone with a pair of eyes and a minimal understanding of football will tell you that the Jones TDs were much more of a deciding factor.

The QB touches the ball, directs the movement of many players and the ball and makes upwards of 150 quick decisions each game.

no one else comes close to that.

However, if the QB does their job to satisfaction, it still takes the others on the team to do thiers as well. A  very good QB can make up for some weak area's  but a team cannot make up for a weak QB.

IMHO  (sad I have to type that these days, but we know the pesky posting police rate every post these days....)
