I'm still hoping they interview San Fran LB coach Jim Leavitt. Has a ton of DC experience as well as head coaching experience. He built South Florida into a respectable program. And he's done some good stuff with the 9ers LB's.

Not exactly hard to do good stuff with that linebacking crew. They are practically all all pros.

Ravens LBs aren't too shabby either.

That's the question though isn't it.

Did the coach make the linebackers great or did great linebackers make the coach good?

And since we're not hiring them as LB coaches anyway, the question really is can they be a good defensive coordinator?

Navarro Bowman wasn't some bonafide stud coming into SF though. They coached him up good.

National college signing day is Wednesday.  They could be waiting until then to talk to or sign Grantham or a different college coach.
If not that....I can only assume an NFL asst from the 49ers or Ravens will be coming into the picture over the next couple of days.

I'm really hoping for one these S.B. LB coaches. Maybe then the position will get some serious attention moving forward.

Our old defensive line coach was an a** and look at how well that worked.

It just goes to show you that Philly fans look way too much into personality of a coach, when it really doesn't mean jack ****.

the key is being able to be an a** to the other team and not your own players.

Well it seems that Donatell has been blocked by the 9ers and he doesnt mind. Also, Grantham is on his way to New Orleans to interview, if he signs there....then where we go from there??? Seems like we could be in deep crap already lol.

McLane reported today that Kelly is considering going without a DC. Figures it's best to take a "backyard football" approach and let the defense just line up and play.

Birds may also go exclusively with the "red rover" defense, as per Schefter.

Rumors abound.
