Now this is from a beat writer, not someone in the front office, so take it with a grain of salt. However, it's interesting to see some unexpected names on the list (Wilson, Warmack) and an idea about the the two highest-rated WRs (at least by the Chiefs)

Warmack isn't a total surprise, as many have said he is the safest/best pick available, but generally the idea of a G going in the top 15 - let alone at 1 - is generally something that is scoffed at.

I know most folks on here are doing Eagles only mocks, so this doesn't really affect those in any major way, but for those of us working on full mocks it is absolutely worth noting.

well those guy are more rush linebackers so they have some DE in them which he really loves

Eagle blueprint was take the franchise QB first, then CBs but I guess KC has at least one great corner there now.

Already seen the entire article, the quote you show is probably the only thing of note about it.   It is available in a link off of DraftDaddy (I think) and came from the Kansas City Star or something.  ESPN boosted it and made it premium content.   I believe the beat writer there is giving informed speculation, and I don't believe anybody in the Andy Reid front office said here is the top 10 guys we are interested in.  So, I say it is informed speculation, you might get just as much from a writer on this board.

Agreed , Reids going to want his own QB(mcnabb) and someone who knows his system(doug peterson). Nick Foles will fill both those roles, i just hope we can swindle a 2nd rd pick ,like we did from dolphins for Feeley

I'd take the 3rd for Foles if Andy trades for a QB. Why would he take Joeckel though? He can just tag or extend Albert.

Andy taking an OT is too obvious. Too easy. We know Andy Reid is always unpredictable. I think Geno Smith is a real possibility.

but him taking an OT isn't obvious. he has never picked one first in his 14 drafts here, Winston Justice is the highest tackle he has taken. Andrews and Watkins were tackles in college but drafted to be guards so I don't count them. Based on his past Star or Moore would be the choice

I don't think that means anything.

I countAndrews and Watkins. Especially Andrews because when they drafted him, it was up in the air for what he'd play. He traded a first round pick+ for Peters.

I think it just so happens that they weren't in position to draft an OT they really liked in the draft positions they had. Plus, they had Tra Thomas and Runyan for so long, they never really had a need. Andy Reid loves offensive lineman and especially loves OTs. So logic would tell you that if he has a need and a great one is there, he'd pounce.

But I think it's too obvious. If they re-sign Albert, they may not even need one.

They used the first round pick they stole from Carolina to acquire Jason Peters.  Plus, it's not every day that you are in a position to take the best LT prospect in a decade.

anyone who doesnt think AR will take Joeckel hasnt been living in the area for the last 14 years. Unless there was a Luck or Griffin then Joeckel is the lock i would think. AR loves him some beef for that OL ! They let Fat Albert walk in FA and get Joeckel and AR starts trying his hardest to get Foles and will get him too hopefully for us we get that 2nd round pick off AR , throw him a bone give him next year's 5th and Foles get that #33 overall for Elam !
