Raising ticket prices + wasting cap space = unhappy fans.

How was cap space wasted?  They carried over 100% of it.

I agree but in order for that to count.... they need to use it.

I say front load the contracts of your rising stars..... take the hit this year on some extensions....

Who on this team do you want to extend?  What rising star are you going to front load a contract for?

Exactly

They can't extend guys like Cox and Kendricks yet due to rules in the CBA.  The only guy they could or should realistically extend right now is Maclin and, to be frank, I wouldn't offer him a deal until the 2013 season is underway, we can see how Chip will use him, and we can see if he's ready to take a step forward.

They could throw money at DRC, but I'm not sure he's the kind of guy you want to make a core component of a franchise.

I think our safety play really hurt our CBs. I believe if we can sign two safeties in FA such as Chung and Goldson, Nnmadi and DRC will play better.

bingo!! We couldnt call certian plays or coverages b/c our S were so horrible. We had to keep our CBs back into coverage for the most part. Better S will allow us to Blitz the QB or run man  if we want to.

FYI:

By my count (using the numbers provided by eaglescap.com) after the Eagles release Asomugha, Vick, Jenkins, Patterson and Polk they will be roughly $48 million under the salary cap (give or take a few million depending on Vick's 2013 salary).  Releasing Nate Allen or Kurt Coleman would save roughly another $600,000 each.  Personally, I would keep Coleman to compete for a backup spot.  He isn't very good, but he seems to give maximum effort.  Not everyone on the roster is an All Pro.

This is actually good news for the future.  After patching up some glaring holes in FA (READ: SAFETY POSITION) there is more than enough money to lock up the young guys next year and you build the team through the draft.
