Clearly, Billy Davis is the Precursor to an improved defense. He is the precursor to finding a good DC. Chip Kelly is a genius!

Love how you base that off of pure speculation. Crazy that we managed to land the top "big name" head coach. What makes you think they didn't interview someone they were targetting on the Ravens, and just flat out liked Davis more? You have no idea who they did or didn't interview.

Yeah they took 2 weeks after the Davis interview to hire him because they were competing with other teams for his services. The guy interviewed for the Jets LB coach job. It's a joke.
This guy is a failure so he'll fit right in here in the Roseman regime

Dumbarse they waited until after the Super Bowl to talk to coaches that were in the Super Bowl. San Fran denied their coaches to interview, and only the Eagles and Ravens know if/who the Eagles interviewed from them. Just because they waited doesn't mean they were deadset on actually hiring one of them, genius.

The better defensive coaches that were available all wanted to become head coaches. Bradley , Arians. So who really was out there other than more collage coaches? . Who apparently didn't want to make the jump to the NFL. If he is switching to the 3-4, than I'm sure that has something to do with who they bring in as well.
I personally don't expect much out of this team for the next couple of seasons. They need too many high draft picks to right this sinking ship. They aren't going to get everything they need in one draft.
