this is a transition year for the eagles. expectations are low for the first time since 1999. we're switching our defensive scheme and implementing a brand new offense. bill Davis is a guy who's proven he can ease the transition to a 3-4 and that's about all I expect out of him. I really don't understand why a lot of you are flipping out and panicking when you know this team is starting over and there's basically no chance at winning a sb this year.
It is because it is a transition year ... finally after 14 years, and about 6 years overdue ... that expectations were high on at least assembling a good coaching staff (and begin the process of building a quality roster). We've suffered through the McDermott and Castillo years - I was ready for a change to FINALLY see someone come in and build a solid defense since we are in total rebuild mode - Davis doesn't give me any reason to be confident he can accomplish that since he has failed miserably at his other stops in the NFL as a DC.
Now having said that, hope he proves me wrong - would love to eat crow on this one.
