Very interesting hire.  There are/were some behemoths on that line.  I wonder how that fits in with the current personnel.

Before the two years at Alabama where he had the three 1st-rd guys, he coached Brandon Washington (the guy we drafted and cut last year), Orlando Franklin (2011 2nd-rd, DEN) and Jason Fox (2010 4th-rd, DET) at Miami.  He also coached OL for seven years at Michigan State when T.J. Duckett was there and they were running over everyone, and he was the TE coach at Syracuse for McNabb's last two years.  No NFL experience though...

Miami's offensive line was horrible before he got there. Did a solid job. Took over for Randy Shannon as interim I believe.

Decent hire.

I can dig a coach that appreciates a big strong dominant O-line!!!!

Run over and through! Pummel the opponent into submission and then kill with speed.

But the thing is, we don't exactly know what Chip's system will be. To this point all people can do is try to connect the dots between here and what he did at Oregon. Who knows? He may be moving away from that offense and moving towards something that could resemble either the Packers or Patriots offense.

Well played sir, well played...

That's a forgone solution. Mudd's system was unique to Mudd.

It still baffles my mind how one guys zone blocking scheme can be so different from any other zone blocking schemes that you can take someone who's blocked their entire life, but get lost as soon as Mudd starts teaching them.
