If NT Star Lotulelei and OT Luke Joeckel have been taken when we pick at 4th overall, and if the hiring of Billy Davis likely signals a transition to at least a significant number of 3-4 sets, we may consider trading back to draft a 3-4 OLB to play opposite Graham for the long term.
I'm excluding guys like Jones, Moore, and even Werner because I'm looking at a trade down scenario where I think the value could be better.
For comparison's sake, here's some heights, weights, projected 40s, and ages at the start of the 2013 NFL season...
Barkevious Mingo | 6'5" | 240 | 4.60 | 22 years old
Sam Montgomery | 6'5" | 260 | 4.61 | 23 years old
Dion Jordan | 6'7" | 243 | 4.70 | 23 years old

Barkevious Mingo has the funniest name in this year's draft class, and maybe the funniest of any athlete in any sport in years. But I don't want to see us dropping back. And I do believe that there will be an available guy who is worth the #4 spot.

Barkevious Mingo is a athletic freak, lightning quick first step and unbelievable quickness...is gonna be a monster rushing the passer for whichever teams grabs him up

Jordan played for Kelly at Oregon, so that could have an impact on that decision. If we move down into the teens I'd be fine taking him (Mingo will likely go to the Jets at #9).

Mingo and Jordan have the better upside. Jordan I am not in love with. I watched Oregon play and his defensive impact never really caught my eye and his stats were so so. He hasn't been playing defense long either. I voted Mingo in that group. I personally like Ansah the best of all the raw, physical freak rushers in this draft, although he is just a one year wonder himself

I've seen two LSU highlights and the one thing I notice is Mingo gets off the snap consistently faster than Montgomery does. Literally almost every time.

Montgomery is more of a 4-3 DE. Jordan is more versatile and can do it all, I wouldn't be shocked if the kid was able to play S in a pinch.
