Hey Dave,

I've been hearing that the Eagles are roughly 15-16 Million under the cap. CBS Sports just reported us at about 18 Million over. http://www.cbssports...-cap-quandaries

That's quite the discrepancy. Any thoughts?

And thanks for all you and your team does.

I know that the Eagles are carrying over cap money from last season so perhaps that article didn't take the carry over into consideration.

Whatever the number is, and it changes almost on a daily basis, the Eagles have enough room to do as they wish in terms of bringing players here. I'm not sure how active the team will be in free agency, but if they WANT to be big-time buyers, they have that flexibility.

Same goes for any of the attention seeking vermin in the national media.

Va,

I assume that cap space includes the rookie pool, is that correct?

I'm not 100% up on all of it, but no, I don't believe the rookie pool is included in that number.

I did a few seconds of searching and found this:

Based upon their recent success with FA acquisitions, I am hoping for a bit more caution from the front office.
