Exactly. I'd been saying this for years. I'd grown tired of the Eagles offense just getting to the line with 7-10 seconds left on the play clock.

The QB's make audibles, adjustments at the line not the coach. I do think that Kelly's up tempo style will help our QB get in "sync" faster but again depending on who the QB is, we will not know if the correct decisions will be made at the line.
I am most excited to see what Chip can do with this team as a whole, especially with the praise that he gets. I think we will see little fundamental issues resolved this year just because Kelly gets the best out of his players and our players know that a new sheriff is in town. Reid never seemed to address the little things each week in practice, players knew what they could get away with in Reid, that ish won't fly no more with Kelly.

Our play calls on the first three downs went either:
Pass, run, Pass - incomplete or short gain on 1st, short gain on 2nd, then pass on 3rd.
run, run, pass- short gain on 1st, short gain on 2nd, pass on 3rd
Pass, Pass, Pass - inc on 1st, inc on 2nd, inc on 3rd
Towards the end there, if we didn't get a 1st down on the first two downs we were done. 3rd down was soo predictable (PASS). I'd love to see a stat on how many times we ran on all 3 downs that resulted in a 1st down.

That didn't take long for one of the usual suspects to chime in crying about the QB

It's basically flipping the script on the defense. It actually simplifies matters for the QB because the defense will be too busy trying to adjust to what we are doing and won't have too much time for that pre snap disguise designed to confuse the QB. Our offense will dictate the flow of the game and they will have to react to what we're doing.

The up tempo only comes when you gain 5 or yards. When you get the defense on their heels. No up tempo for negative plays or no gains. If Chip sees a weak spot or a match up that he likes he will quack attack it.
