2. Xavier Rhodes CB 6'2" 215 ASO Replacement
2. EJ Manuel 6'4" 237 QB Dixon/Vick, see what I see......
3. Brandon Jenkins OLB 6'3" 266 If were going 3-4 or any Hybrid new blood at LB needed.
4. JJ Wilcox 5'10" 214 SS Wilcox in an underated stud.....Check him out.
Reid wants Foles and the price is high, as it allways is for a QB....
Foles and our 5th ..... and a 2014 5th......... For Chiefs second.
Now you have a 6th and 2, 7's...... Role ST's whatever......

Why would we draft a QB in the third round when we already have 3 on the current roster? Yes there is a chance that Foles gets traded but there is also a chance he stays and starts......if you replaced that 3rd round with Cyprien or Thomas I would be happy with that.

it's logical that Chip wants to bring in "his guy" at QB.
Manuel's stock has risen rapidly after the Senior Bowl.

Well of course it is logical, but it doesn't mean that EJ is Chips guy.
When was the last time a coach drafted a QB in the third round to be his "guy". You don't draft a QB in the third round to be your franchise starter, you draft a QB in the third round for competition, to be a back-up and to pray that they show some signs of being an average QB........QB's get drafted in the later rounds for a reason.
And in this case it doesn't make sense to draft EJ Manuel with the holes we have on a transitioning defense.

Vick or Foles will start, that is a given. Chip's offenses usually have a mobile QB running them and Manuel is the best athlete in the draft. Am not saying he will definitely be drafted by us and and not shouting from the rooftops for us to make it happen, but if Kelly thinks that he can take Manuel and coach him up to be the starting QB at some point then I would trust his judgement.
Top of my head -Bill Walsh selected Jo Montana to be his guy in the 1979 draft. That kind of worked out well. And by "his guy" I don't mean a number one pick, I mean someone who can work within the system and that the coach has faith in, who could eventually become a starter.
