I see this as a trade down year, but that's too much to predict at this point, especially pre-combine. So as I sit right now, this is my 7 round mock.

1 (4) - Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
-- I see Joeckel going 1st, Lotuleilei 2nd and Floyd 3rd. If the Eagles stand pat and go BPA here, it's gotta be Fisher. Could be a bookend, maybe not perennial Pro Bowler, but a solid LT for 8+ years

2 (35) - Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
-- A bit of a reach, but DB is a major need. Bama's NT Jesse Williams is also an option, because I don't see Dixon holding up as a 2 down NT all season.

3 (67) - Shawn Williams, S, Georgia
--Again, DB is a major need. Williams is an instant upgrade over Kurt Coleman.

4 (100?) - William Gholston, DE, Michigan St.
-- Could be a solid, Aaron Smith-like DE opposite Cox in the 3-4. May drop farther than this.

5 (?) - Theo Riddick, RB/WR, Notre Dame
--dynamic athlete who could be an interesting slot WR, KR and carry the ball occasionally.

6 - Quanterus Smith, DE/OLB, Western Kentucky
--dynamic pass rusher prior to ACL tear this season. May be available later.

7 - Earl Watford, G, JMU
--could compete for interior OL spot

7 - Montori Hughes, DT, Tennessee-Martin
--major character questions that I believe will knock him to the end of the draft, if not out of it completely.

I would be ecstatic with Trufant there at 35

The BPA ay 4 wouldn't be Fisher, it would be warmack who is probably the best player in the entire draft. Granted guards don't go that high but if we were to go BPA....Also 35 is not a reach for trufant. There's actually a pretty good chance he is already gone.

I'd actually be ok w/ Warmack or Fisher at #4.  Mayock said it best, OL and DT strongest positions...deep draft but not top heavy.   Let's face it, it's a bad year to have a top 10 pick...but we gotta deal w/ it and make the best of it.  I'm not really crazy about the rest of the draft, although I've studied some of the CB's best I could, I just don't know a whole lot about Trufant yet.

Another scenario could be a trade down with a view to picking up Jonathan Cooper at guard who Mike Mayock thinks is a better athlete than Warmack at guard and a better fit for a zone blocking scheme.

Trufant is graded out as a first on most boards, I think he will surpass Banks

Milliner Rhodes Trufant are all ahead of Banks... so unless 4 CBs are taken in the first then Banks will make it to the 2nd round

Thank you, that's exactly what I'm saying.  No way 4 CBs go in first and of the top 4 (Milliner Rhodes Trufant Banks) Banks is the most likely to fall

I think everyone understands that.  As a point of reference, the past three drafts have averaged 4 corners in the first round.   No doubt theses guys all have question marks, but IMO these guys are all gone by the end of the first.

To who?  There's not 4 teams that I think go corner in the 1st, especially with this deep corner class

where do you get that from...CBS again? Almost every mock out there has Rhodes at 4th CB at best. Banks is a 1st rounder and Rhodes is looking like a 2nd rounder right now

that is definitely not true... most mocks ive seen have Rhodes and Trufant ahead of Banks... some even have Rhodes as the 1st CB off the board

I've seen Rhodes ranked 2, 3, 4, and 5 for CB positional ranking on various sites.

Same here.  Most commonly 2 after Milliner but I have seen him as low as 5

Plenty of CB-needy teams outside the top ten - Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Indianapolis, Denver, San Fran and Baltimore to name a few.

Curious with this who is your other starting CB and your other starting Safety going to be ? Namdi ? DRC ? Allen ? Coleman ? just wondering...
