I've heard some people say he may be the best player in this draft, regardless of position. Whether that speaks to how good he is or just the dearth of top end talent this year, I'm not sure. I'm inclined to think it's the latter.

The guy has appeared less than disciplined at the combine, as if he didn't take it that seriously. I agree that its only the combine, game tape tells the story, but this is your life man. Hope maturity is not an issue. On the other hand look out for my boy Tavon....

By all accounts people have said that teams looking to get out of the top 10 this year to collect more picks would have an almost impossible time doing it. Wouldn't you know that the one year trading back would actually be a good idea for us the landscape is entirely unfavorable for it? Just our luck again.

And he was switched to corner when he came into the league. He possesses none of the attributes you need to play that position. So I'm not sure what your point is.
My point is he is better equipped NOW to play safety, he was switched because he could also play CB. He can't any longer so its back to safety. It doesn't really fit his strength which is jamming at the line but we need secondary help so bad and if he leaves we are faced with 4M dead money. Let him fill in at safety for a year while we pick up 2 corners and at least one other safety.

Listen, he's gone beyond 2013 either way, so bringing him back at a reduced cost to get through the year is't the end of the world.      Especially when he knows he's playing for a contract in 2014, and he's on a very short leash.

But at safety?       Isn't it at least part of the job description to be able to tackle adequately?       What in Asomugha's game tells you he can play safety at even the level of the trash we have back there now?       I'd sooner run Colt Anderson out there again.

No, he is in no way equipped to play there now. Can't tackle, can't hit, totally disinterested in being physical. Don't know why this is so hard to understand.

Absolutely. The guy looks like he's only interested in collecting a paycheck.

I don't get you guys. What is the point of bringing these guys back as a one year stop gap? I could see if they were 20 something and had room to grow but being on the plus side of 30 you know what they are. If they are not part of the teams future then move on and start over now. I'd rather watch Marsh, Hughes Boykins and a draft pick or two as our CB's and see what they can do given an opportunity to play. Worse case is they are bad and you replace them next year and best case is they show you they can play and they become part of your future plans. For this team to compete for a championship they have to start rebuilding now and ride themselves of anyone who is not part of the rebuilding process.

If the Eagles trade back, then hopefully it's with the Rams that have 2 1st rounders (16th & 22nd).

I know we all want to go defensive for majority of the draft but if Warmack drops to the 2nd round (is that possible?), how would you feel about Joecker at 4 and Warmack in the 2nd round?

Not my first choice but if that were to happen I think almost automatically our OLINE would not only be "fixed" but catapult to one of the best in the league.
Or am I being delusional about Warmack falling that far back?

Man if there was only a player the Rams really wanted at #4.

some people think Warmack is the best player in the draft..........at this point he easily looks to be a top 15 pick....unless there are some red flags on him...there is zero chance he falls into the second round

I highly doubt either of those guys will last past #1 & the top 12, respectively.

And things just got a little more interesting now with Star's medical bombshell.

I can't pretend to know what the Eagles are thinking at No. 4, first of all. They'll have a shot at what could be a very, very good player in the NFL. I'm expecting, overall, a lot of roster changes. I can't anticipate who is coming back and who is not returning. Nnamdi's situation, clearly, is a negotation and a decision that he is ultimately, I guess, going to have to make.
