So far Cooper very impressive as was Eric Fisher.  Haven't seen Joeckel yet, missed his 40

Fluker has a huge frame and wingspan, seemed a bit stiff though.

Physically gifted but man his technique is horrible. Does anyone still think he's a 1st rounder?

yeah because if you know the kid is going to work hard than you can fix technique, you cant teach people to run fast or be huge.

D30, the ? of whether he'll be a solid player is debatable I'll give you that, but 1st round quality? In the same class as Cooper, Warmack, Fisher, Joeckel, Barrett Jones? I digress.

Not sure why but when I watch him he reminds me of Winston Justice.

if he's late first round, why not? Sometimes you have to take risks on guys that have loads of talent but poor technique. There's a huge difference with a guy that has bad technique but will work on it, and a guy that thinks he's good enough to just get by on athletic ability.

In this case if we were talking about good talent but poor technique, we'd be dealing with a tackle that's oozing athletic ability, so much so that it masks their deficiencies in technique. Fluker, unfortunately, doesn't have quick feet and has bad technique. In my opinion I see him going mid 2nd round, and mainly because he went to Bama.

Biggest winner of Group 1 to me was Cooper from UNC.  Now Group 2 up..Joeckel and Warmack in this group.

The day when we'll have a 300lbs guy run a 4.5 are quickly dawning on us, what with Armstead running a 4.6. Oh lord...

Still, OL 40 times need to be taken with a grain of salt.

so should everyone's. A good 40 time just validates whether a fast guy is actually fast to me. Playing fast is a lot more important.

Not to belabor the point on Fluker you guys, but here's some National Championship highlights of the Alabama o-line.
https://www.youtube....h?v=qf-jzv6zOzk Even a 3rd rounder might be too high.

No doubt, Flukers combine is dropping him on draft charts.  3rd round might very well be too high.

DJ Fluker is a mauler.  He's still going to be picked 20-30, watch.  He is more about overpowering the guy in front of him and he has a ridiculous 36" reach.

RB Onterrio McCalebb just unofficially broke CJ2K's 40 yard dash record.  4.21.  Wow...we'll see if it holds up.

The WRs in this draft class are blazers but they have suspect hands.

I mean, their catching ability is "ok" but not exactly great. But I think that several teams will be satisfied drafting one of the many WRs in this draft.

This x100.  When will an Olineman run 40 yards in a game?  There are more important drills.

I would rather see drills that correspond to screens and pulls for guards.

I think they look at the 10 yard splits for O and D lineman to show their burst off the line or whatever
