They excutive produced Inocente, which won the oscar for best documentary.

Two Oscars now for them, truly the golden standard.

So you want Jeff Lurie to micromanage and be like Jerry Jones?  Oh you don't?  Then shut your damn mouth.

If you have to announce you were fishing in the first place it was either A) a lame fishing thread, or B) a weak attempt at back tracking after a post didn't go the way you expected it to.

Wut? You realize almost every owner is still involved with their trade outside of their franchise?

Tose was a drunk and a gambler, two very powerful addictions. We're lucky he didn't give the team away. Philadelphia native Norman Braman, OTOH, was a shrewd business man who ran several successful businesses, both here and in Florida. Last I checked he owned some 25 automobile dealerships. IMO he was more concerned with making (and keeping) the money he was making from the Eagles. I'll never forgive him for letting Reggie White walk. Granted, at the time Reggie was one of the first players to benefit from the new FA rules that Reggie and a number of other players fought the NFL for and won. Reggie landed in GB for the then unheard of sum of $16 mil. over 4 years. Still, Reggie was one of the most gifted and powerful NFL players ever and he should have never left the Eagles. I was glad to hear that Braman lost a  TON  of dough in the Bernie Maidoff rip-off. Serves him right but I'm sure he's still very well off.

Not to be pedantic, but Inocente won for best short documentary. Searching for Sugarman won best documentary.

Al Davis isn't even alive anymore... so no, I wouldn't take a dead guy over Lurie.

Doesn't matter, there's no way you could tell me you'd rather have either of those 2 over Lurie. As a cowboy fan you know better than most how detrimental Jone's meddling can be. Not saying anything about your franchise as a whole or your history, just the owner.

As an owner I wouldn't want anyone else..as a GM though that's another story

And therein lies the problem...he is both. Just pointing out that while people complain about Lurie "not focusing on football", teams where to owner is more involved in personnel decisions usually wish their owners would stick to ownership issues.  That's all.
