i hear alot of people ragging on maclin and jackson but imo if we are going to upgrade our recieving corps it might be time to move on past avant. i know hes made some nice catches over the years and people say he has great hands but i seem to remember him dropping some pretty big passes in crunchtime.

i always here people say we need to get bigger at reciever but avant should have been filling our need for a bigger guy. seems we should have gotten better production from him in the redzone. i dont know but maybe we give him one more year hoping CK will be able to get more out of him

or do we look for one of those big, fast freak of nature type guys in the middle rds. i was hoping we would have made a run at that big kid that went to cleveland in the supplamental draft last year

what thinks tate??????

Yeah, maybe we can replace him with one of those really good 3rd WRs out there in free agency.

Damaris Johnson might be the next slot WR. Has that skill set.

I think so. He was pretty good last year despite all the problems. Plus we have more concerns on D than WR

Jason Avant is taking up a roster spot for a young big potential.. and same goes for Trent Cole.

I really like Avant and would love to see him stay but I think Chip is looking for speed and youth...

A lot of people seem to think Avant is this great 3rd WR I would defiantly upgrade if possible

I'd have no interest whatsoever in bringing back Avant.

Swope?  I'd love to bring him in for the slot, but I wouldn't do it at the expense of even a third round pick, and he most likely deserves to go there or higher.

Avant should stay 100%. Leader and Mr reliable on third down.

Last year before the draft, I wanted the Eagles to take WR Ryan Broyles...Yes, I know this isn't, "I want the Eagles to Get..." But, I KNEW Broyles would be quite the upgrade and definitely would have overtaken Avant in the slot.
There are numerous options in this year's draft at WR who are faster, stronger, and better than Avant....I'm sure Chip will take a look at the WRs and makes changes as needed...
I respect Avant for always being the "man" on 3rd down, but the Eagles need someone who can do a bit more.

I'm not sure he fits Kelly's style. He's a slow possession type without a lot of size.

tavon austin maybe? he doesnt have the size but hes definitely a playmaker

i just wonder why they we never able to put avants size to use in the redzone. woulda made alot more sense than slamming vick into the defense or throwing to celek the king of volleyball

I really like Avant. He was one of our most sure-handed receivers last season. He choked a few times in clutch time? Who didn't on this team? However, i am willing to a more fitting player for the faster offense we are aiming to put together. I do think we need to focus more on the defense rather than discussing getting rid of one of our most respectable players..

Avant is the perfect #4 WR. Catches the ball consistently, doesn't need to be a play maker.

LOL! People saying that it was a good idea to bring back Vick, but not Avant? And Avant is 2 years younger and has some of the best catching hands in the league.

The only way I'd be cool with getting rid of Avant is if they signed Victor Cruz and I don't see that happening. Avant is money.

I have never understood the love affair eagles fan have with avant. Are we sooo used to mediocre WR that we embrace avant as if he is the greatest slot WR this side of Cruz.

You are probably the dumbest Eagles fan on here. Lets get rid of the only WR we have who successfully goes over the middle for speed, speed, speed! Its like you're an A.D.D. patient on speed.
