He's not Wes Welker, but Brady throws at Welker 20 times a game

Use these two set-ups occasionally:

1. Zach/Casey/Shady/DeSean/Maclin
2. Zach/Casey/Celek/Riley/Benn

i hear alot of people ragging on maclin and jackson but imo if we are going to upgrade our recieving corps it might be time to move on past avant. i know hes made some nice catches over the years and people say he has great hands but i seem to remember him dropping some pretty big passes in crunchtime.

i always here people say we need to get bigger at reciever but avant should have been filling our need for a bigger guy. seems we should have gotten better production from him in the redzone. i dont know but maybe we give him one more year hoping CK will be able to get more out of him

or do we look for one of those big, fast freak of nature type guys in the middle rds. i was hoping we would have made a run at that big kid that went to cleveland in the supplamental draft last year

what thinks tate??????

You remember? Name some.

LOL! People saying that it was a good idea to bring back Vick, but not Avant? And Avant is 2 years younger and has some of the best catching hands in the league.
Where talking about how avant is not fast enough for this offense.  How does that translate to cutting vick?

If we can get late fourth or 5th for him do it and snag an explosive slot guys. Celek ertz and Casey along with benn control middle get another outside threat who can play middle I like swope hands routes speed and good average size . Steal wideout there's some good ones left da Rick might be get able in 5th as the run in wideouts might be over

I honestly dont see a whole lot of playing time for Avant in the future in an Eagles uniform.

I see alot of 2 TE sets with both Ertz and Celek on the field at the same, toss Casey and his H-back role out there also dont see a whole lot of need for Avant.  He cant really stretch the field and those 3 TEs are bigger, stronger, and will make those tough catches over the middle.

Avant has made alot of tough catches but thats it, he cant get open deep, and he rarely gets any YAC.  His routine seems to be drop easy grab in a clutch spot then make amazing grab later on only to fall down, stand up, and praise jesus.

Maybe Andy would trade a 2014 6th or 7th round pick for him.

Jason Avant is taking up a roster spot for a young big potential.. and same goes for Trent Cole.
I'm confused.  I thought Eagles fans were unanimous that Lurie is cheap.  So he keeps expensive veterans when he could get younger, better, cheaper players???
