I think he was elite at the time, yes. You're comparing him to people before his time. I agree he isn't an all time elite qb but neither is Favre in my opinion. But that's another discussion

I'm saying they were both elite at certain points. But they are not all time elite qb's like Montana aikman Elway Brady Peyton. See what I'm saying?

@jhop: You obviously never watched Favre play against the Eagles; he sucked. Just about THE most over rated QB ever. King of the wounded duck pass in a critical situation.
