Combine was good to watch over a few days.

Some surprises, some busts, and learned a few things from the "experts" on NFLN

Everyone knows the state of our team.

Biggest Needs in my opinion: NT, CB, S, Rush OLB, OL depth

Guessing Foles gets traded, but I'll just say a next years conditional 2-5th

Re-Sign Jon Dorenbos, Jake Scott, King Dunlap

Free Agency

-QB Byron Leftwich Pittsburgh Steelers
-Nate Garner OG Miami Dolphins
-Eben Britton OT/OG Jacksonville Jags
-Alan Branch DT/NT Seattle Seahawks
-Sammie Lee Hill DT/NT
-Larry Grant ILB San Francisco 49ers
-Jasper Brinkley LB Minnesota Vikings
-Tony Carter CB Denver Broncos
-Laron Landry S New York Jets

Eagles get a lot of role players in Free Agency, and a stud at S and DT in Landry and Branch.

NFL Draft

4th and 4th Round pick to the Cincinatti Bengals for #21, #37, and #53. Cincy has been on the edge of getting over the hump recently. Their needs are LB, OL. They jump WAY up for Eric Fisher.

#21: Desmond Trufant CB Washington
#35: Zach Ertz TE Stanford
#37: David Amerson CB NC State
#53: PhillipThomas S Fresno State
#67: Corey Lemonier OLB/DE Auburn
#129: Shamarko Thomas S Syracuse
#163: William Gholston DE Michigan State
#186: Micheal Buchannon OLB/DE Illinois
#214: Micheal Clay LB Oregon

UDFA:
Scott Kovanda P Ball State
Darrin Moore WR Texas Tech
Timothy Wright WR Rutgers
A.J Francis DT/NT Maryland
Brandon Moore DE/DT Texas
Justice Cunningham TE South Carolina
Avis Commack CB Akron
Tristan Okpalaugo DE/OLB Fresno State

Diagram: Not a final 53 roster or anything. Just putting it into perspective. Depth standings aren't really exact because the LBs and rush End will be changing in and out to stay fresh or on different packages and situations.

Why the hell would the eagles sign Byron Leftwich?

Replace Ertz with a safety and sign a rush linebacker, Kendricks better inside, and I'd be ok with it

Picks 129 and 163 should both be commited to the Oline.  Injuries happen and you need a back up plan.

Have a bunch of Rush LBs.

I like the FA, besides leftwich.

Solid, well thought out, reasonable and realistic. Nice job.

The trade might be tough, but it could happen. If Nnamdi gets cut, I assume you'd spend parts of his 11 million in cap saved on another CB? I's personally go with another QB, but overall I like your approach.

Ertz is a good pick. Not many have mocked him to the Eagles.

Nice job on that depth chart layout too.

I think in the whole scenario the Leftwich addition is the most un-important

Can agree with Kendricks, however, why would I replace Ertz with a safety when I like Phillip Thomas, we signed LaRon Landry, and we draft Shamarko Thomas?

We have at least 4 rush LBs on our team at this point, not including wherever Hunt and Vinny Curry line up.

I think we'll be fine, I think those players are great value at that spot in the draft, we have vet OL that can make do

I hate the QBs this year, I think if Nnamdi left I wouldn't go after one CB, I'd rather add 2-4 more pieces with the money we freed up. Maybe a better 3-4 DE/DT, with a serviceable to above average CB, and another Rush LB like Antwan Barnes or Manny Lawson

I have to disagree with Laron Landry being a "stud" and would rather another safety in FA but other then that not bad

Id disagree just as much. He lays wood, is in place a lot, and would defiantly a huge upgrade over the players we have at that position now. I want this to be a physical team and he fits that.

Not sure Cincy would move up for Fisher as Whitworth had a good season for them last year at LT. They could pick up a RT to replace Smith who is about to hit free agency at the position they are at or further down in the draft order.

My guess was that they'd put him at RT.

A top pick for right tackle?  No
