i find it wierd that people here on tate have turned it into a negative if kelly tries to run his offense? imo i dont see why he wouldnt come in and bring as close to his scheme as possible. so far he has signed 2 qbs, both mobile guys so we are getting the kelly offense here as we should. if you look around the league lots of teams are running his system in different variations already with more to come

san fran, seattle, carolina?, new england. i read that tennesee is gonna run it to a certain extent next season

how many other teams are running it?

also part of kellys scheme i believe is that the qb has very little pressure on them being they run alot and kelly in a sense reads the defenses himself and calls his plays accordingly which is why hes had all types of qbs running the system even a freshman

Hasn't he said his scheme is basically take what the defense gives you?  It's certainly better than Reid/Marty's run X pass play, run Y pass play when the opposing team has already figured out the game plan.

yeah thats the thing about kelly. hes not gonna be like reid if things arent working like they should hes not gonna keep beating his head against the wall..

like vick, if hes not playing well and turning the ball over kelly will yank him hes not gonna just stand there like reid looking stupid and just calling pass after pass

NE isn't running Chip's offense. They took the 'one word' association at the line from Chip to make playcalling faster. Brady will call out one word at the line and the offense will know what to do.

Kelly doesn't have a scheme. He's said this countless times in seemingly every interview he's done since joining the Eagles. He ran the read-option at Oregon because his best players were perfect for it. Here, we have Vick, Foles, and Dixon. Vick is best suited to the read option, but he'd still be horrible at it because he doesn't take care of the ball and misses too many games. Foles is best suited to a NE type offense where we get plays in fast and try to keep the D on its' heels, pounding the ball and making quick decisive passes. Dixon... well Dixon is suited to be a back up and nothing more.

nah brah, they incorporated a pretty good amount of kellys system. the uptempo one word system but even the way kelly runs. kelly doesnt just run the ball for the sake of running just to say okay we ran it now lets get back to our real offense. no, kelly has alot of creativity in the running game which i saw NE and san fran doing.

on a sidenote i wonder was it a great idea to help out BB with the possibility that they could be facing off in the supe. yeah i said superbowl

We can only hope that we get to worry about such a scenario.

My mistake then. I read a couple articles when it came out and all they said was Belichick just took the one word association from Chip's uptempo offense.

If you mean the read option?  Really none.  Some use it as a play here and there but none use it as their main offense.
If you mean the uptempo thing?  NE is as close as you get as they've taken a few of his concepts.

Hopefully Chip is honest when he says he doesn't have a system and will adapt to the players because if he tries to run the exact thing he did at Oregon its probably not going to work.
