We officially have a circus on our hands.
What started as a rumor has turned into a full-blown problem for the Eagles, as updates are coming in almost hourly about what the status is of DeSean Jackson -- and where he could be going.
We will be updating this post throughout the day, as the trade of Jackson at this point seems like it could be coming at any time.
7:11 pm: With news breaking of Michael Vick signing with the New York Jets, the rumors are also continuing to heat up about Jackson leaving. This from Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
The Eagles have intensified their efforts to trade Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson in the last week, according to three independent NFL sources.
"He's as good as gone," said one source close to the 27-year-old receiver. Another source estimated Jackson's chances of returning to the Eagles at less than five percent.
It would not be surprising to see Jackson moved before the league meetings in Orlando next week. If he isn't Chip Kelly is going to have a media storm like non-other coming his way when he speaks to reporters on Wednesday.
6:16 pm: Either Jackson is completely obvious to what is going on -- which is unlikely -- or he is sending a message.
Jackson just tweeted this picture of him and Cam Newton, quarterback of the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have been rumored to be in the running for Jackson.
Could it be a sign of things to come?
5:26 pm: With rumors spreading of his departure from Philadelphia, Jackson picked a curious time to start getting active on Twitter.
The wideout just tweeted out this picture of him and Pete Carroll from his recruiting days -- a sign of other teams recruiting him currently?!?!
Also, Jackson is looking for a graphic designer for a new logo. Because that seems important right now.
4:45 pm: Tim McManus of Eagles 24/7 is reporting that Jackson now believes he will be dealt.
"The feeling within the DeSean Jackson camp right now is that he will not be back," McManus said on 97.5 The Fanatic. "It's a matter of when, not if."
3:01 pm: A report from the Charlotte Observer says that the Eagles reached out tothe Carolina Panthers about a deal for Jackson. That is a very big difference from other reports, which made it sound as if the Eagles were just listening to other teams as they called.
2:51 pm: One former general manager tells NJ.com that the Eagles have Jackson right where they want him, as the wideout has "no option" but to play under his current contract. Jackson has previously said he would be interested in getting his current deal restructured.
12:05 pm: If the Eagles feel they need to trade DeSean Jackson due to any off-the-field issues they think he might have, they are as much to blame as he is.

What off the field issues? I don't get where all these reports about off the field stuff are coming from. Yes he can be a headcase on the field at times but I haven't heard anything bad off the field.
