I'm convinced that if you send a QB to the wrong team, he will die on the vine with a head coach who is obsessed with defense.   Foles did that in St. Louis.   Foles was successful reuniting under his first NFL HC in KC.  I would rather have underpaid tall QB with stature, and toughness who's played a few games vs. overpaid undersized QB who's barely played a game.

Knowing Foles background, he's going be fast friends with Carson Wentz.   This is Bob Griese, and Earl Morrall with the Dolphins in an era many of you never lived through.   Only leftover Vick fans, and McNabb disciples would question this QB tandem.

RTK and Morris are the two that seem to hate it the most, no surprise. Both seem to be dreading reading about fans or media calling for Foles to be the starter if Wentz struggles. I think both are terrified at the idea of Foles playing well if he does have to come in for a few games.

I don't think it's going to be that relationship.  This is Wentz's  team.  Wentz will never be benched if he plays poorly, only if he's injured.  I get a bit angry when the Eagles fans who are going to die young from a stroke scream, and whine that Wentz was a "flash in the pan" after three games.  Wentz's production dropped because his right tackle was suspended for ten games, and Wentz found himself more on his back than standing.   That forced Wentz to make quicker throws, and the results were ints.  Nick Foles is not going to steal Wentz's job.  Any sane Foles fan from the Chip Kelly era knows who's the #1 QB.  They don't hold grudges as fans who are too fascinated with scrambling QB's.

I think they fail to remember that Carson was a 1st rd pick of the Eagles. Vick was not! Therein lies the difference . Carson will be allowed to struggle just because of that fact. So they have nothing to fear. If Nick should have to step in for a game or two, it will still be Carson's team when he is able to return. That is what being drafted in the first round and at #2 affords you.

Eh... Yes and no...

Dmac was picked just as high as Carson was and despite annual trips to the pro bowl, fans still clamored for him to be replaced by the likes of AJ Feeley, Jeff Garcia, and Michael Vick.

Fans don't matter though. The coaching staff never replaced any of the three for McNabb. 2 came in for injury, and the other never started a game while McNabb was here.

Oh come on... He failed in Philly because he isn't good enough despite a system that helped his numbers. He failed in LA because he's not good enough and that team is a joke on offense. And he failed in Kansas because he wasn't good enough to beat out the all mighty Alex Smith.

People need to cut the excuses. He's not a good player.

He had a good record in Philly, did well in his brief stint in KC.  His biggest hiccup was St. Louis.

I think Nick is in a good situation right now as a back up.  If Wentz goes down for a period of time, Foles can step in and win games for the team.  What more can you ask from the player?

Wow, "didn't see that answer coming".    It may not be "the best", but why does your cynical brain tend to piss on anything positive?  Do you enjoy misery?

What?  I need to feed into the delusion of someone quoting me so they could say, "We now have the best Starter / Back up combo in the NFL"?

It isn't  cynical, it is being based in reality.  You Foles fans are delusional cult members.  Sorry I break up your expierence of living in a fantasy land.

Jimmy in 3 years has started 2 games . Also in 3 years only has 94 attempts throwing the ball .  So really Jimmy G is kinda Like Mr Chase who we just got rid of

Why bother, bro?

94 attempts in 3 seasons means you're better than a QB who's been to a ProBowl and has a jersey hanging in the HOF because he tied a record for TDs in a game....with 8 mins left btw.

That is why you have Pats getting offers of 1st round picks for Jimmy meanwhile Foles is looking for a new backup job every season.

ROFL , do you really want to go through all the picks bad Qbs we traded for ?  If a team is dumb enough to trade a 1st for Jimmy then thats on them . I doubt it would happen because he is a system QB that will fail like the rest of Pats backups that were wanted so badly

He wont get traded because he has too much value to the Patriots as Brady's successor.  There isn't a GM in the league that would take Foles over Jimmy.
