I’m not convinced that was actual hair on his head ....

These are the same guys who repeatedly voted to screw over Bart Starr and his generation. ”This is the players’ association, not the retired players association” was Gene Upshaw’s famous refrain. Now they reap what they sewed.

Exactly, why can't the players pay for insurance policies just like the rest of us, even the government workers.
  7. They could sure use help to keep Watson upright and another receiving weapon which would shorten the time that the line has to PP. Imagine Watson if he had another sec or two to scan the field.
  8. I'm not ready to glorify JJAW yet either. But you don't think he'll be successful with those athletic skills - barring his route running ability of which I'm in no position to judge either way - or be able to out jump NFL DB's?
  9. Some great highlights there Ham. Thanks for sharing! I think the Eagles have themselves a nice replacement for AJ whenever he decides to hang up his cleats.
  10. SEAL's and Marines are tops in my book Wrang.
  11. That's an incredible story GB. I would think that a pressured situation like that would be even harder to sustain while being out in the middle of the Atlantic as compared to being on land, but I could be wrong. I just know that I'd feel safer on firm ground as opposed to the thought of being Jaws' dinner or drowning! I too stand and salute during the National Anthem even if on TV lol.

Paying Ag well,Clowney would cost more, but the additional expediture would be about the same as signing a good player in FA
  13. I'm sorry your grandfather had to endure that nightmare! My heart goes out to him, your family and yourself.

IDK,I could see us enticing Houston into a trade for Clowney for reasons previously stated. If this is doable, can you imagine this team??(Yikes) We'd still have Alshon,Djax,JJAW,Hollins as the basic WR corps. With Clowney another disruptive source, this would take a little pressure off the DB's.Depends on if Houston wants to give up a little on D to gain a little on O.Could be interesting for both teams

Crunch time for the FO and Sproles.Think we'd be fine either way.If he retires we still have nice backfield if Sanders comes along as planned. If we choose to re-sign Sproles, then IDK who we'd cut.probably Smalls? Don't see Pump making this team unless we have no ST guy to replace him IDK how the heck GB does it.Starr,Favre,Rodgers, that 3 super stars in a row

I just wouldn’t see why Agholor would be an attractive option for many. Clearly on a one year overpaid situation. Not much reason for Nelly to renegotiate either.

Time to play devils advocate.... Every NFL player knows the risk. They all also know that they get no insurance. They all also are very willing to sign contracts for millions of dollars and retiring much earlier then the average Joe. No one is forcing them to play football. No one is stopping any of them from choosing an education and non physical career path. Just read a story on how he showed up to camp in a rolls royce , wearing a fur coat..... Ya. I don't feel bad that he is broke. Sucks about the cancer. Not the NFLs problem. As for CTE itself.... there is no way to eliminate it. Make all the contact rules you want. It will still happen on tackles, heads hitting the ground, etc.... so what can the NFL do? Offer 2 choices.... 1. Give players lifetime insurance but explain they still might get cte and won't live past 50 anyways 2. Don't give them insurance, let them use some of their millions earned to provide it for themselves. 3. End the game Btw. You can buy an insurance policy for roughly $500 a month. Over 30 years that's about 200k.... no reason these guys can't afford their own healthcare. They choose not to.

BTW Houston struggled some when Fuller was out with injury.Another reason they could go with the Ag trade, although parting with Clowney would be tough to do

Houston has 2 nice WR's but no real slot threat and/or BU at the position.Ag would provide the slot threat.IDK if Howie can swing this, but he's a magician lol

Going with 93 here a sec. IF they see what they want from JJAW,would you work a trade with AG for Clowney?

We also have been focused on 12 personnel(two TE) sets. But we have a very legit four WR set to start the season. That would test the depth of the opponents corner/coverage team big time. Blending and using both sets makes for a very challenging prep week for any defense against us.

So in essence we have 6 possible receivers. We can shuffle them around and find out who has the hot hand any given week Easier to get inside position in college than it is in the pros
