  2. I haven't given up on Mailata at LOT, we need RG now and wanted to see Mailata there this yr right alongside his teacher JP. If we're going to pay Wentz, may as well keep him upright.

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/corey-ballentine?id=32194241-4c69-2329-7f6f-1def422cc400 Kid has potential. Also used at Washburn(small school with limited players) as a KR and ST player with 3 blocked FG's.BTW there is a film made by the Pats on him as well,so they like him fine too. 4.47-40 and good numbers in other drills at the combine

So tried a mock using this scenario and came up with this 1-25) Cody Ford-(starts as OG and moves to LOT upon Peters retirement)-Oklahoma 2-53) Darnell Savage-S-maryland 2-57) Darrell Henderson-RB-Memphis 4-127) Oshane Ximines-DE- Old dominion 4-138) Kingsley Keke-DT-Texas A&M 5-163-Hunter Renfro-WR-Clemson(if still available) OR Alex Wesley-WR--N.Colorado 6-197- Corey Ballantine-CB-Washburn

Hmmmm, here's a possibility Cody Ford at 25.He can start as a G and move to LOT when Peters retires(and we could use an OG anyway)
  7. Fun read about this yrs' dropoff points and placing the players in tiers. https://www.nj.com/sports/2019/04/nfl-draft-2019-where-is-cut-off-point-for-difference-makers-in-1st-round-top-15-top-20-does-dwayne-haskins-make-the-cut.html

Seahawks and Wilson agree to mega contract

The Sea offense sucks, every. Single. Year. Lets see how Wilson’s career ends without an elite defense and running game. Meanwhile the Eagles offense was best in the league under a healthy Wentz. Health is a major issue but if they think Wentz is healthy and it’s not a long term thing then they pay him. Pretty simple.

    Healthy 2017 Wentz >>>>>>>> Wilson

I viewed Foles as like a "relief pitcher".Proud he got us a SB.So now we will see if he can grind out an entire season, but Wentz is the face of the franchise

Yeah,I see no reason to trade up in 1.I'm sure we have "preferences" but if you look at the DT, very strong class,so no need to reach or give up draft ammo.Wilkins,Simmons,Lawrence and others, one will be there.I liked mateagles gig with instead of a trade down in 1,trade down with a 2 pick to get a later 2 and a 3(where I feel Tytus Howard will go and I know we like him) Leaves us with 1,2,2,3,4,4,5,6

Well that's what I mean. With Henderson and Howard we can bang away this year, then if we want to keep Howard,we can do it in a team friendly way,if he doesn't like the re-sign deal, we still have Henderson and that's not so terrible

    Brees is actually OVERRATED

After reading half of the comments in here, I'm surprised most of you have watched football before with the absurdness.
  14. Lol .. good stuff with the shirts! I hear what you are saying about Wentz, however I don't think Howie and Lurie are looking for him to take a discount. Again it's the goodwill built up over time that has the Eagles in a good place as far as perception around the league... letting Peters play out his contract, support for Jenkins in his social justice cause, allowing guys the early release to look for another job while the free agent market gets started.. I don't think they want the perception of underpaying their franchise QB? I think Wentz gets his money, but I think the edge for the Eagles will be the way Howie structures the deal. Similar to Cox not taking any discounts, yet the deal looks great for the Eagles too. Howie and co. have been prepared for this since they drafted him. They already knew all these quirks in the CBA pertaining to the final league year of 2020 and how it effects the contracts. I know a lot of people use the "in Howie we trust" motto... draft wise, I think he is ok... but contract wise, what makes me think he is two steps ahead... was the way the contracts were set up for DeMarco murray and Maxwell... enabling them to be traded without much dead cap space in year 2, that's not normal, usually a year 2 release would be a huge cap hit. That's when I realized he knows what he is doing when it comes to contracts. I still have no idea how he was able to get all those players in 2017 when wehad no cap space? Even now, we keep adding cap space even though we add players? So I'm definitely not worried about the most important contract he is going to design in his career.
  15. Your right without a deep playoff run or SB appearance it will be a loss. They are the youngest at least last year in the league. They have talent across the board on D and O. Garrett has to take the next step with this team or he needs to go and the Jones feel that way it seams. They did get rid of Scott L when Garrett wanted to keep him to I believe he is on a short leash. Dak I believe will be fine if the team can stay healthy. I you go back to the last 3 years when he was drafted he has more wins then anyone except Brady. He has two pro bowl appearances in three years. He plays his best in pressure situations. He makes stupid throws at times but every QB does that. And most important is he has been so durable and tough. His leadership may be his best trait, and the teams loves him and believes in him. Stephen Jones has turned this team into a fiscally conservative front office and are able to keep the players they want as they build through the draft. Lots to be excited about for the next few years.
  16. Awwwwww...Come on Don C....hehehehehehe....Agreed. BUT what Cudda... Mighta... been If Shaggy closed the deal... hehehehe....We MIGHTA been looking at a NEW franchise QB😈😈. All funnin aside Wentz is the guy.
  17. Actually that would be reminiscent of the power relationship of the Ajai, Blount combo
  18. If we get Henderson... we could hammer the middle all day long for huge chunks
  19. Not a coulda, shoulda, woulda person, proceeds to go into coulda, shoulda, woulda. Alshon didn't catch the ball, Nick is in Jacksonville and Carson Wentz is the franchise QB. The owner, the GM and the HC have never said and or suggesting anything other than Carson Wentz is the guy.
  20. I like that Clemson DLine. Watkins is my #1... just don’t think he is gonna be there unless we trade up... Lawrence might have more upside than Watkins...younger, bigger, just not as polished.... Simmons might be worth a Red shirt rookie year...when healthy... Fletcher Cox Part deux

Yeah I like Wilkins, but if we move down in 1 for a 3 pick I'd be fine with Simmons.

BTW I would be happy with your draft.Nice work!!!!!(although there are some I like better, which we all have our preferences)
  23. Henderson could be a bull... but I see him more as a home run hitter... blazing fast...make you miss, or run you over... I really think if that injured DT Simmons from Cox’s old alma mata is around think that kid is the pick at 25.
