2019 NFL draft in Nashville - who's going?

It’s a long day, so enjoy. Was at the one in Philly and was lucky enough to get a ticket into the actual theater area (was like 4 rows from the podium). I’d love to go to another draft, but it won’t be this year.

Anyone watching the AAF this weekend?

Absolutely, going to give it a shot. Got some interesting names playing (Trent Richardson, Zac Stacy, Matt Asiata, Josh Huff, Greg Ward, Christian Hackenberg, Aaron Murray). Mike Martz, Steve Spurrier, Mike Singletary as a few of the coaches. I predict San Diego will do well, but have no real good reason why. Some of the rules are interesting (skycam ref, no kickoffs, no onside kicks but rather have the ball on the 28 as a 4th and 12.)

    Was Super Bowl LIII Fixed?

If they were going to fix the game, it’d probably be more exciting.
  4. I’d say Goff as he’d be the first to win a Super Bowl he played in. I also dislike how some players are noted as "Super Bowl Winning QB” on some tv networks (David Carr, for example).

Should teams be able to challenge penalties or non calls?

If they called DPI, but the ball was actually tipped, then it could’ve been reviewed to see if it was tipped. The Eagles did that in a game, either this year or last year and won the challenge as the flag was picked up due to the reversal. The other way around, you can’t challenge it. I think if the ref, at the time that it happened, said no flag was thrown as the ball was tipped, then they should be able to challenge it.

In this case, I heard that the ref thought the ball was tipped, which is why he didn’t call pass interference. In this case, that should be reviewable since you’d review if it was tipped. You can review it if pass interference is called but the ball was actually tipped. In terms of judgement calls, they shouldn’t be reviewable.

    AFC Championship: Patriots @ Chiefs.

They couldn’t do much in the first half. They did have a wide open RB in the end zone for a TD, but it wasn’t a good pass. As for late in the game, running the ball may have helped run the clock down, but they also may not have scored a TD had they done that, tying the game instead of taking the lead. If they did run the clock down and score a TD, the Pats still may have driven for a TD, but leaving the Chiefs with not enough time for a FG.

5 in the first half, 5 in the second half. Scored 0 pts in the first half, scored 31 in the second half. Yep.

2 playoffs wins. Not great, but also keep in mind that the Chiefs has 2 playoff wins combined in the prior 20 years (and just three total after they won the Super Bowl IV, before Reid was the coach).

Haha, true. As a starter, it’d be nice to see him get it that way before Goff.

I’ll probably root for them in the Super Bowl. I’d be okay with Brady getting another. The Eagles best them last year in the SB, so it’d make it more bearable. Also, the Rams with Goff, I’d rather Wentz get one before Goff so the argument isn’t there that Goff was the right pick.

It was a tough position. Try to run down the clock and hope to score, or just get down there and score a TD? Running the clock down might mean you get a game tying FG instead of a go ahead touchdown.

I think he’s a free agent next year.

Tough position for the Chiefs they were in. Do you try to run the clock, and hope you can still score, or just try to score and hope your defense can hold if you don’t waste enough time.

Happened a lot on non-reviewable plays too. I hate that when at the game. Fans around me telling a coach to challenge a play that’s not reviewable.

Had to challenge that either way. I think it’ll stand.

Going to be close. I think it’ll get overturned.

No adjustments for Reid clearly. Typical.

Patriots holding the ball for 21 minutes so far. Chiefs defense is really getting destroyed, especially on 3rd down.

Had the RB wide open in the end zone for a TD, but not a great throw. Had a couple high percentage passes so far.

So far Reid’s gameplay has been decent. Lack of execution and defensive issues are hurting them, right?

Punt. Ran on 3rd and 1, but couldn’t convert.

The Chiefs got a touchback on the INT they got. That’d be one long FG attempt.

Get blamed when the defense lets them down?

    AFC Divisional: Colts @ Chiefs.

It’s the age old question. Do you continue to do what got you to this point, or change it up? I’ve always been a fan of continuing what worked so far.
