    Friendly Vikes Fan

Vermeil's tenure was far from a debacle. He was actually the first ray of sunshine in about fifteen years.

    Week 16: Chiefs @ Seahawks

    Go Chiefs!

    Week 16 Open Discussion.

    Go Titans and Chargers!
  4. Speaking of Arians, I was really disappointed with him the other day when he was broadcasting the Giants-Titans game. He seemed blatantly pro-Giants.

Is it possible for it to be "1st and (Non-Multiple of Five)"?

Pretty sure I've seen first and one somewhere along the line. And I don't mean at the goal line.
  6. Wondering which way it'll go.

    2018 ESPN Playoff Machine

Apparently there is a "known bug" in the ESPN Playoff Machine in regards to the way it handles Common Opponents. For example, imagine the scenario where the Eagles and Redskins both finish 8-8, behind the Seahawks and ahead of the Vikings and Panthers. This assumes that the Vikings lose their final two games and the Panthers lose once more. Suppose the Eagles beat the Texans this week while the Redskins lose to the Titans. And then the Redskins beat the Eagles in the finale. They would both be 8-8, would have split their head-to-head games, and would have the same division record. The next tiebreak is common games, NOT conference record. In this scenario, the Eagles record in Common Games would be 6-6 (or 7-7 if you count the Redskins games) while the Redskins would be 5-7 (or 6-8 if you count the Eagles games). The games that would be excluded would be the Eagles games against the Vikings and Rams (split) and the Redskins games against the Packers and Cardinals (won both.) The ESPN machine shows the Redskins getting the sixth seed but that cannot be correct. Of course this scenario isn't very likely since I don't see the Vikings losing their final two games. But that's not the point. The point is, things like this need to be accurate and should be able to properly handle any scenario.

    Rodgers is a Fraud

Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks in history. He's been injured the past two seasons and has definitely been playing hurt this year. The rest of his team isn't all that good either. It's understandable why he hasn't looked great.

    Week 15 Open Discussion.

Not that they're a rival or anything, but I've never cared much for the Broncos and I usually enjoy watching them lose. So this was fun to see.

But how does their winning today HELP, even if they lose their other games?

That would be insane. How would the Redskins winning actually HELP the Eagles?

    Rolling R-word's (Trademark Pending) updates..

The thing is, he's been flirting with a .500 season every year but has never actually done it. They've gone 9-7; 8-7-1; and 7-9 the past three seasons. This might be the year they actually do finish 8-8.

    McCarthy Fired

Super Bowl LII was certainly all about defense.

Blake Bortles benched for Cody Kessler

I could see Flacco being a somewhat attractive option.

How Mike Pereira Changed the Way We Watch Football Forever

Not according the rules that were in place that season. The criticism should be directed at the owners who made the rule rather than the officials who enforced the rule properly.

    It didn't say that.

    Dak vs. Wentz

Yeah, but Dak won Rookie of the Year and Carson didn't even get to PLAY in the Super Bowl!
  22. FranklinFldEBUpper

What’s the excuse for Dak now?

When I tuned in, the score was 14-14. And then Sean Lee got hurt. After that, the Cowboys offense went down the toilet. Not sure how that's Dak's fault. It's hard to play quarterback effectively when your middle linebacker can't play.

Shango and The Dallas Cowboys Show

    I enjoyed that.

    Ongoing Derek Carr Thread

Benched tonight. But I'm sure he looked good before getting pulled. Probably better than Aaron Rodgers anyway.
