Rams chances of contending in 2019

Um, it just depends. Yeah reading defenses in the NFL is different than in college, but like everything else, some accel at it and some do not. The truth is, Goff was considered raw in literally every sense of the word after college particularly after playing in a very non pro style system, having a very mediocre team, but checking all the boxes for an NFL QB to be developed. Honestly I think Carson Wentz was the better prospect and it wasn't even close. As for Watson and Mayfield....I think somewhat yes, somewhat no. Mayfield is still learning, Watson is too. But more mobile QBs have a bit more to rely upon as they learn. Goff...not so much.

Kaepernick and Reid settle collusion case with NFL

Everybody who says this has their entire argument go flying out the window when they realize Blake Bortles and Andy Dalton were starting QBs in the NFL this year. I'm not even a Kaepernick fan, but I think he's so much better than Blake Bortles that it's pretty much robbery. He's also had significantly more success than Sam Bradford. In terms of results and pedigree he was definitely better than several of the lower end QBs. Just some of those people at the head of those teams didn't want to deal with it. And I'm not saying I think that's particularly right, or particularly wrong, but frankly I think it was highly overblown. Half the NFL kneeled at some point. Who cares?

Welp, we whiffed that one. We're going to regret it.

    Sean McVay: I got out-coached

I thought the same about us for a while. But you know, it's easier to keep up hope as a fan. I like the Chargers but I don't follow them.

    Sean McVay: I got out-coached

I'm so sad Phillip Rivers and the Chargers couldn't get it done. That's just awful.

    Sean McVay: I got out-coached

Man, and Tom Brady has 6 rings now. I don't even get how his 7th can be prevented unless the Eagles get there again.

Lawsuits field from Rams-Saints game seeding do-over

Um. Context matters. Maybe you weren't aware, but if not for a very certain person sparking the Eagles to play out of their minds, the Eagles were basically dead in the water after that. It was like a 9/10 chance for elimination. That's why I mentioned that. I never said we wouldn't be mad about it. Any fanbase would. I said I think the reason we don't feel bad for it happening to another team is because that kind of crap happened to us too, and because the Saints players were complete dopes about it. For example before the season they talked about how they would have just completely destroyed the Eagles if they played us last year, when Nick Foles established the greatest passer rating in playoff history. Then, due to beating the Eagles with half the team from last year on injured reserve (I'm not even trying to make excuses, or exaggerating), they decided to talk all that crap, and then lost on a karma call in the following game. So much of a karma call one of the Rams players literally made it a point to shove it in their face. So long story short, no, we don't feel bad for them. But hell yes we'd be mad, I'm not denying that. If say another team that was more humble that we liked more had it happen to them...Browns, Chargers, Colts, you get the idea. We'd probably sympathize more.

Lawsuits field from Rams-Saints game seeding do-over

I think we see it that way because the same crap except worse happened to us, just at a different time. See: The Eagles-Cowboys game two. Besides, Saints players were talking all that good sh--, make sure you blow a team out if you don't want the refs to affect the outcome.
  10. Another year, another fanbase that shows their true colors. Feel like Eagles Saints is going to become a fairly bitter rivalry soon, if Drew Brees doesn't retire.

2019 why don't we get games in 4k?

If you keep that up you might need more than 4K to see in 10 years! 😄

2019 why don't we get games in 4k?

Seen these graphics before. I actually looked into it further way back because I thought maybe it was just me. Of course it's been that way somewhat since before, 4K. If you look closely at my post, the point is 4K is a niche resolution that benefits only a specific group of circumstances. This is the point of diminishing returns: The higher the resolution, the more niche the required use case becomes. Like I said, it's overrated. But people like it, so that's OK. The question however was about why it's not more common. And the answer is infrastructure. 1080P is long, long overdue. It's actually a travesty.

2019 why don't we get games in 4k?

I'm a computer science major who not only has seen things in 4K, I've used 4K monitors which have significantly higher quality panels than their TV counterparts, with higher refresh rates, and have seen significantly higher amounts of 4K content than most have, especially outside of Netflix. I'll say it again, especially in the monitor world, 4K is highly overrated. It's less overrated when you have absolutely gigantic screens, but there's a limit to the pixel density that people benefit from at certain screen sizes. It's nice for big 80+ inch TVs, but that's because it helps bridge the crisp picture difference that you're losing out by stretching 1080 vertical pixels across a giant screen. It's a specialty resolution that is best for specialty sizes, but for the majority of the general populous, the resolution isn't doing much of anything, but the higher quality panels are. That's why I said it's overrated. Because resolution is always relative to size. And we're quickly nearing the point of diminishing returns.

2019 why don't we get games in 4k?

Because cable lines haven't upgraded and Internet is too sporadic depending on area, particularly because of the Internet cap stipulation that many companies refuse to address. There might be a very special option that provides this optionally but I'm not sure. 4K is highly overrated and mostly a marketing scam due to using better quality panels as well, but 1080P at least would be nice. I admit I've wanted that for a long, long time.

Browns want to interview Condoleezza Rice for HC job

............................................................................................. I thought immediately "this has to be from deadspin". Then I googled it and found it on the Adam Schefter verified account. ...If this is true they are the worst team in all of sports. Even if the idea goes successfully, of which I've seen stranger things, and somehow helps the franchise...even if they win a Super Bowl...this was one of the worst ideas on paper I've seen in the history of sports. Holy. Fing. Sh#*.
