    Kaepernick still no job

If you really wanted to know what he's done since he's started his anthem protest you could use the other half second and find out yourself. 900k in donations is going to a lot of organizations. I'm not going to waste my time listing them all when you really couldn't care less. WTF are you talking about?

????? I have no idea what you're upset about. You can face facts or you can pout about it. GTFO is not what I'm going to do simply because you can't handle truth.

This is also true, which is why I commend Allen Iverson, who gave to a lot of charities and worked with youth and no one knew about it. John Wall is another athlete that I respect a lot for the work he does in the D.C. community. On the flip side, sometimes a famous figure can highlight a need to a little known non-profit or charity, that can provide support from people who weren't aware of the need or where to provide help. Yet your point is kinda irrelevant to the fact a poster claimed Kap has nothing with his money, and he has.

https://www.ninersnation.com/2013/6/23/4457534/colin-kaepenick-camp-taylor-pictures-charity I found that in like ten seconds on Google. He has volunteered for this cause. All I am saying is you are more than free to dislike the guy, but taking your dislike and claiming he isn't doing what he said he was going to do with his money and time is just false.

No, it wouldn't change my view of the KKK or Hitler one bit. And yes, I'm glad you said you aren't comparing Kaep to Hitler because that's crazy. Regardless, the only reason I responded to his post is to the one line I bolded. That poster is welcome to his opinion, but he is not welcome to his own facts. It is one thing to express your dislike of a person based off what they do or say, it's another to create a false narrative fueled by your emotions. Nothing is so black and white, that you can't admit that he you disagree with his choice of protests but he did donate money to charities. So in regards to your posts, if the KKK gave to charities that say, provided funding to local public schools, just because I dislike what they stand for doesn't mean I can lie and say "they never donate their money to anything positive."

900k is pretty damn close. Outside of volunteering his time with youth and donating to charities, what else do you think he should be doing to further create change?

I said nothing about him slandering the eagles and ravens. I simply corrected you that he has given to charities and done stuff off the field.

So you aren't aware of that Kap has donated nearly a million dollars to charities over the past year?

Yeah, I actually enjoyed watching our defense play as well as they did. Biggest improvement is the run defense. Third down D and covering the TE is still a work in progress. Hopefully it continues. Sucks that Darby broke his ankle like that. Mills stepped up though.

Kinda figured I wouldn't be able to use that broom for a third year in a row. Oh well. Good game Eagles fans. Wentz has that IT factor. He makes plays when the play call breaks down, and that is something you just can't teach. Not looking forward to dealing with him twice a year. Kirk is doing his usual slow start, just one more reason why he is not an elite QB and no where near the kind of money he's asking for.

Does Kaep's girlfriend speak for all of black america? I think you know the answer is a resounding no. And, I'm sorry to hear you've been a victim of poor policing and this broken justice system. No one should have to endure that. But you are f focusing on Kaepernick, who's never stated he's endured the same experience, but that overwhelmingly, people of color endure what happened to you far more often than any other race demographic and he was bringing attention to that. It doesn't diminish what happened to you, and the fact that your were victimized doesn't negate what is happening to an entire demographic on a larger scale. Do you understand what I'm saying?

    Kaepernick still no job

Ok so, you ask me treated worse by whom, then decide to create a specific minority scenario where less than 1% of a demographic has it better than a large percentage of the country. Is that really a fair comparison? When I stated treated worse, I was taking an average on the full population of each race. You highly disagreed on a specific comparison of your own choosing. Look at the full picture here. The average black american, not just a CEO or athlete, is treated worse than your average white american, not just low income white kids, by the police and justice system. I understand what your point was with going back to your origin, and I'm sure you'll agree that just about every American citizen regardless of race would agree to stay here compared to somewhere else. Regardless, that doesn't justify inequalities. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, suggesting someone go to a place that is worse isn't a solution. It's ignoring the issue at hand, and it never resolves anything. In regards to your last paragraph, I'm not aware of any of that and I've never seen anyone say blacks should own the NFL. Should the NFL have diverse ownership? If anyone has the wealth to own a team, they shouldn't be denied that opportunity. Go for it. But just because the league players are majority African American doesn't mean they should own it. That's absurd.

I agree that the backlash is out of control, but I simply cannot agree about the rest. There is factual evidence that shows black americans are treated worse than white americans in this country. If you doubt that statement, I can provide you evidence through studies as well as straight up facts that support this. I do not want to derail this discussion any further, but if you're willing to see the other side of the argument I'm willing to provide it. Furthermore, no one but Native Americans have the right to ask another race if they would like to go back to their "country of origin." And maybe you aren't aware, but there are more white americans on public assistance than black americans, and the percentages are nearly identical. I like to blow up stereotypes, and that is a big one so forgive me for not letting it slide.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/blog/jacksonville-jaguars/post/_/id/21613/weird-blake-bortles-stat-he-has-5-career-td-passes-when-jaguars-lead You may very well be right, although considering the facts I doubt you would've found many more TDs if you continued. Additionally to only throwing 5 TDs while his team had the lead, there is this little gem: "An interesting not about Bortles' five TD passes when leading is that four have come against Indianapolis." So if the Colts weren't so awful at pass defense this would look even worse. In comparison to the rest of the league: "In addition to Bortles, four other quarterbacks have thrown just five TD passes when their team has been leading over the past three seasons: Josh McCown, Mark Sanchez, Brock Osweiler, and Trevor Siemian. All have played in 21 or fewer games. Bortles has played in 33."

He may win them more games. At the very least, he would've pushed Bortles better than their current backup did or outplayed him. Maybe they didn't want to deal with the backlash of signing him. Which I'll admit, would've been more than just potentially their fanbase since this has become a national media story.
  16. NIBGoldenchild

    Kaepernick still no job

Btw, for some added context. Out of Bortles 69 TDs, only like 5-7 occurred when his team had the lead. The majority of the rest came in garbage time while they were being blown out and/or the defense relaxed their playcalling to protect a lead.

    Kaepernick still no job

Let me play devils advocate for a moment. Cam Newton thinks Kap is better than some starting QBs in this league. Aaron Rodgers also thinks he should be on a roster. If you think he is simply a backup caliber QB, than you're also saying that probably the worst starting QB with no time left to prove himself to the FO that drafted him is better. That person is Blake Bortles. Jacksonville barely has a fanbase worth mentioning, so they hardly have anyone to anger with signing him. He's clearly a better QB than Bortles. Yet we've heard nothing about the Jags even remotely considering signing him. If I'm Kap, or his agent, I'm at that team and some others and saying,"yeah, I'm not worth Andrew Luck money but you can sign me to a decent deal and I'd be better than who you have RIGHT NOW."
  18. Zero respect for Griffin. Dude is the fakest player out there. Always trying to tweet and say inspirational quotes, how about "Thy shall not commit adultery" you hypocritical a-hole?

There is no problem with the WR core. You're picking the bottom of the barrel making that a big deal. Since you only seem to be concerned with minor injuries, you should read more of Keim's blog where he talks about Pryor being nearly uncoverable all camp, and how well Doctson has looked. Neither Crowded or Reed have practiced yet, and the offense has looked good. Nothing like going 0-12 in a red zone series. I mean, that's pretty terrible.

Shanahan's story changes on his executive and personnel decisions every time someone asks him. He says Kirk was HIS pick, but it was really his son's pick through him. A former Special Teams coordinator said Kyle basically got his father to draft whoever he wanted. IMO, Kyle didn't like RG3 and wanted Cousins as a failsafe plan in case Griffin was a bust. Absolutely everyone else was IN on RG3. But Mike is probably telling the truth about his apprehension on giving up so many draft picks once they got hit with the BS salary cap penalty.

I'm sure Mike Shanahan would say Dan Snyder forced him to draft all of those players if you asked him today. That guy has been a mediocre talent evaluator for every position except RB, yet never accepts responsibility for anything.

I see what you mean, and I agree. I just feel like the rumors of him wanting to join Shanahan or McVay must be true. He will play out this season, and knowing the Skins aren't going to tag him for 34.5 million, go out in FA and sign at least a 4 year deal somewhere else. If this FO was smart(which they aren't, hence my avatar) they would've transition tagged him. It would've been a lower dollar amount to play out the season, and it wouldn't be too scary for teams that wouldn't mind giving up a non-first round pick for a competent QB. That would've been better than him walking next season for nothing.

Well, someone will pay him lol. There are some tweets that are denying Allen's claims about the LTD offer. Regardless, he is done in Washington after this season. If Bruce lied, I can't see Kirk staying. And if he really didn't even respond to an offer that would've made him the highest paid QB in NFL history, then he DEFINITELY doesn't want to play in Washington.

    Rolling R-word's (Trademark Pending) updates..

Bruce Allen claims they offered Kirk the highest guaranteed money in QB history, and didn't get a response back. Whether you believe that or not speaks volumes. If you believe it, no dollar amount was going to get Kirk to sign a LTD in Washington. If you don't believe, Bruce Allen is ballsy enough to lie to the entire world and expect to get away with it. IMO, I'm glad he didn't sign that deal, if it really happened. Kirk isn't worth that money and I've been against overpaying him since that Giants game he choked in. Either way, even making that statement virtually murders any chance Kirk will sign in 2018. How is the next QB draft class looking? Because one of them is going to be a Redskin this time next year.

Already closed? When was it open? LOL I can't enjoy a basement I haven't seen for the past two seasons. You guys on the other hand.... One thing we can agree on is the Skins shouldn't sign Cousins to a monster contract. I'll leave it at that.
