  1. The league wouldn't be going from 16 to 18 regular season games for nothing. Who would be the greedy ones between the owners and the players if the league started playing 18 games next year and everything remained the same as far as the players rosters and their salaries? To my knowledge, the only thing the players want is a larger roster by 5 guys and not higher salaries. Of course we all know what the owners want! LMAO
  2. So you think Jeffery Lurie is worried about his next meal?
  3. If you really want to know how to create an inferior league, just keep adding regular season games without any increase in player rosters. I believe the players are smarter than the owners on that topic.
  4. If you remember, during the last NFL contract Neg. the owners wanted to make changes to the season and have three pre season games and play one more regular season game. The players said they would agree with it if the Owners added five more players to each team. The owners passed. The players aren't stupid. They know the owners want to eventually have two pre season games and 18 regular season. All the players want is the correct number of players on the team to accommodate that arrangement.
  5. Hi GB I have to agree with you. As of the summer of 2016, there are 774 colleges and universities that provide football programs. This number increases on average about five tams a year. There are 130 schools in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and 125 in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Each team in the Division 1 and FBS has approximately 75 players on their team so just looking nationwide at the Div 1 program, and FBS, that is approximately 20,000 players. No one will ever convince me that we will pollute the NFL with inferior talent by adding another 160 players to the league. Between all the NFL talent evaluators. they probably miss much more talent than 160 players each year that could beat an existing talent out of his NFL job anyway.
  6. My mother is 89 and has Alzheimer's GB. She is in a memory care facility and hasn't recognized me in 6 years. There is an old song from the movie Midnight Cowboy called "Everybody's Talkin" that was written for an entirely different reason in the movie but it sure could have been written for an Alzheimer patient. I think of my mother every time I hear it. Everybody's talking at me I don't hear a word they're saying Only the echoes of my mind People stopping, staring I can't see their faces Only the shadows of their eyes I'm going where the sun keeps shining Through the pouring rain Going where the weather suits my clothes Banking off of the northeast winds Sailing on a summer breeze And skipping over the ocean like a stone "Yes they do live in an alternate universe however she seems happy there! Happy Mothers day Mom!"

  8. Shareef Miller is the type of edge rusher the Philadelphia Eagles coveted, one who can attack the quarterback off the edge and use his speed to make plays in the backfield. The Eagles were infatuated with Miller since he attended the Eagles' local Pro Day earlier this month, the exact type of player Jim Schwartz wanted for his defense. He just told me I’m the type of player that they want for how they like the defensive linemen to be. That was really great coming from him." "I know everything about the Eagles. I love how they attack fronts. The defensive line attacks and I just like everything about the Eagles defense. Being a fan and watching how they get after guys and get after the quarterback. Also the type of swag they play with the Eagles and the brotherhood over there, I just can’t wait to join the family."

  13. Have a nice day fellas! Never waste your time trying to explain yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you. Your time is too precious!
  14. Lets just say that I have been on the planet long enough to know when ego gets in the way of making objective decisions. I have seen enough press conferences and read enough articles on Schwartz to convince me that he is a my way or the highway type of guy. I never liked working for people like that and after I became a manager I didn't conduct myself in that kind of manner. To each his own opinion. You have yours and I have mine.
  15. Don't you understand DC, Schwartz's opinion of our secondary is irrelevant to me. Schwartz is just another DC I have to put up with until he leaves.
  16. I had no idea about the kid or no preference. I think everyone knows by now how I feel about the Eagles drafting WR's in the first round. Any round after that, go for it. I will be keeping my eyes on RB Bryce Love's career though. It will be hard not to. The WR could be a good pick for all I know. Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in a while. We are now 1-52 in Super Bowl wins so anything is possible.
  17. LOL Schwartz didn't even see him as a corner until injuries occurred. So he was a last resort corner who I believe lead the team in picks playing maybe half a season. Of course Schwartz will put him where he wants. He is the Defensive Coordinator. That doesn't mean he knows how to evaluate talent in his secondary. He has two new starters this year that got their opportunity after injuries and beat out the other starters after playing only the last 6 games of the season. Now thats good talent evaluation. LMAO Just because Schwartz doesn't want Douglas at the safety or corner back position doesn't mean intelligent people can't discuss the the error of his ways. Sorry but I'm not a homer. I call them as I see them.
  18. So what is the average age a linebacker hangs up his cleats? Both Bradham and Brown are 29 and will turn 30 during the beginning of the football season. Both are rather large linebackers with Bradham weighing 241 and Brown weighing 250. Lots of linebackers in this day and age weigh less. Bradford is signed through his age 32 season or 2022. I took the liberty of looking up a couple similiar linebackers who played for the Eagles that match both the height and weight of these two guys to see how long they played the game. DeMeco Ryans 6ft 1 247 played until he was 31. Jeremiah Trotter 6ft 1 262 played through age 32. Seth Joyner 6ft 2 245 played through age 34. That being said, I feel that confident in Brown working out that I wish they would have signed him to a three year contract, especially now that they got him for 3 mil this year.
  19. Something tells me this move was made long ago. Wink Wink!
  20. I hate to see players bounced around like a yo yo however I think it would be in Gerry's best interest to lose the weight he put on and go back to the safety position like he played in Nebraska.
  21. I just found this biblical quote from Philippines 4: 12 and 13 under Carson Wentz's AO1 foundation with some other of his other favorite quotes. I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.
  22. Well rumor has it that the Raiders are interested in a trade for Dallas La'el Collins. They already signed a RB Guess that ends that! LOL
  23. Yes they won a state championship in football and baseball in the same year. My grandson's high school team played them every year. The four years he was there, they split. Then we have the IMG Academy 3 miles from my house. They are usually rated in the top 5 high schools in the nation for high school football. No doubt we have a lot of talent down this way.
  24. Trey Burton went to Venice High school and Sam Shields went to Booker High school in Sarasota.
  25. I never worry about things I have no control over!
