Giants fans... Talk about the Giants

Now that's not fair! They've finished worse than 5-11..

The latter. Just almost though because it's not. Everyone else got the joke. My guess is that he simply didn't actually read to the end of the post.

I almost feel guilty about this

I wouldn’t jump on the Daniel Jones hate train just yet

I never said you claimed he was top tier. I never claimed he was awful. You always made it clear that you believe he's far better than what I consider him. Low end starter-best backup in the league. Not a true franchise QB. This is where he can set the record straight once and for all. If he does well as a clear cut franchise QB I'll concede that I've been wrong all along on Foled However, if he struggles mightily in and is not at the very least an extremely noticeable upgrade from Bortles/Kessler then well.... Like I said. I've noticed a lot of the Foles fan club have done some major backpedaling lately. To me, that only further confirms that deep down, they always knew.

Well it's not like the Giants are fully loaded and the Jags are a year removed from missing the super bowl by the skin of their teeth. If Foles isn't at the very least, clear cut massive upgrade from Bortles/Kessler this season then well ... ... You get the picture

If Foles is the great QB you think he is, he shouldn't need too much to flourish. Just saying. Also I like how it's acknowledged that the Giants offensive line is now decent. That's the first time in nearly a decade but according to everyone and their mother, Gettleman who has quietly rebuilt the trenches on both sides (on paper) and stocked up in the secondary, has no clue what he's doing because talking heads say so.

Another great post by you. You're on fire lately. You get it. Like all of us, you don't know. Unlike so many, youre not pretending you can see the future. We really don't know what is going on in the war rooms. We have what we think/feel and what they claim. We won't know for awhile. I wanted Haskins badly and I'm still bitter about it but at the same time I have to acknowledge that I'm just a fan. I thought that RG3 was going to haunt the Giants for a decade. He ends up being ROY. We all know what how that ended. We'll find out in the next 2-4 years what happens with DJ. I hope I'm wrong on him and Haskins.

^ once again, proving my point that you're going entirely by the word of "experts" who we all mock and college stats. The last time I saw you so adamant that a pick was terrible before we saw him play was Zeke. *fingers crossed*

Oh damn. I take back everything I said. Hands down worst draft pick since JaMarcus Russell. Actually, he's gonna make the likes of Russell, Couch, Leaf look good.

This is on a different level. Not sure I've ever seen a 1st round pick get so much polarizing attention. Honestly, I don't even think Manziel had the media squirming this much. That being said, my post was mostly directed at guy who initially compared the pick to Jon Harris(huh?) And is pulling out cherry picked stats to back up the view. I have to remind myself that this is the same guy who spent the entire 2016 offseason after the draft, making threads about how Ezekiel Elliot is the worst pick ever because blah blah blah

It's embarrassing. At first I honestly thought he just copy and pasted from a previous post. I wanted Haskins. I was banging on the coffee table on draft night and spewing venom. To me, Daniel Jones was the 3rd best qb in the draft behind Haskins and Lock(kyler is a complete wildcard imo). That being said if they feel Jones is their guy, I can accept them going after with the knowledge that their careers/legacies are on the line. If he goes down, Shurmur and Gettleman go down with him. At the end of the day though, it's ridiculously asinine to conclude that he or any other player is going to bust or bloom based on cherry picked college stats

It's incredible how we have such definitive factual opinions of a guy who hasn't taken a single snap in the NFL and is basing everything on college stats while not playing with a single other player that was drafted into the league.

You people are terrible. Can't believe you're making fun of a guy who was just in a car accident because he lacks the amount of fingers required to text and drive

Mehta Manish reported that and it's already getting dismissed as pure bs Seriously, what NFL scouting department looks at a lanky sub 230lbs white dude QB who is a good not great athlete and thinks "Gee, maybe he would make a great tight end"?

Justifying a pick is what we saw here some years ago when Chip Kelly took Marcus Smith and for about 2 years we heard about a great an athlete he was from those who didn't have any idea of who he even was until after the draft. When it was pointed out that he barely touched the field and that never being in the game wasn't exactly the best sign for an ultra athletic edge rusher, it was explained that it wasn't his fault. That it's only because the Eagles defense and special teams were just so absolutely loaded, left to right, top to bottom, that there simply wasn't room for him. So apparently, there was zero need for the guy as everyone on D/STs were far and away better than him but we were all still lectured for over a year on here that he was a great pick. "in Chip we Trust" The amount of amnesia we see anymore is incredible

I'm not relying on a damn thing. I just pointed out that you said he sucked in a game where he was voted MVP which doesn't help your claim. I personally didn't like the pick. I loved Haskins and had Jones ranked behind Haskins and Lock. To me, Jones lacks the arm required for MetLife and will probably be Alex Smith but there's the "experts" and fans and then there's the NFL scouting/personnel departments. In truth, we won't know if the pick was bad or good until at least 3-4 years from now. Eli's 1st 3 starts were the worst statistically in NFL history. Hell, in his first day of rookie minicamp, he was so awful that he actually hit a tackling dummy with a pass. The 2007 holidays were full of people saying they were thankful that the Giants traded the farm to draft a bust. That it was a Christmas miracle how the Chargers fleeced them. 3 pro bowlers in exchange for a bum who will never win anything. We don't know. Whether you want to admit it or not, nobody knows and pumping out articles of other people who don't know isn't helping your claim. Ive been on the Haskins bandwagon since October and by no means have on boarded the Jones bandwagon but I'm smart enough to know that no one really knows where either one is going to end up. Only an idiot would claim otherwise
  21. Van Pelt is alright but I'm not purposely tuning in for him. If there isn't a live game I want to watch or a 30 for 30, I'm scrolling on past ESPN.

That's fine. I'll guess I'll just chalk it up to him being one of those guys who thinks he's funny but no one wants to tell him he's not. I'll be sure to pay him no mind when he says anything remotely serious sounding regarding football. Skippy relies way way way too much on analytics, numbers, and such. Gettleman is a real piece of work but I can see now really see why he mocked the analytical types last year with the imaginary laptop. At the end of the day, that high pick that busted wasn't a bad pick because you took him high, it was a bad pick because he couldn't play. The Raiders took Janikowski in the 1st. Say what you want but for 15 years, the Raiders had all kinds of things to worry about but a kicker wasn't one. The Bucs took a kicker in the 2nd and caught all sorts of hell for it. As it turned out, it was a horrible pick. Not because of where Roberto Agyauyo was taken but because he was a good awful kicker. Jerry Reese used to get all kinds of praise by the "experts" for landing so called steals based on analytics like Jayron Hoseley, Marvin Austin, Damontre Moore, Phillip Dillard, James Brewer, Jerrel Jernigan, Odigizuwa, etc. How'd all that work out? Can the guy play? At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Saying it once or twice shortly after the fact for a few understandable jabs and laughing it off is one thing. That I get. Going on and on about it long after is another. Either you dont get that the joke is no longer funny or you're claiming you're joking now as a cover. Either way...
