He will not be an Eagle for life, he will hit FA because he can opt out and hit FA. where he will get a 3-4 contract averaging 28m+ a year. Time to come to terms with reality, and take of the fanboy goggles.

you are forgetting something brah...he does not want to leave...

Umm in some ways and not in others. That 4th and 15 play wasn't because of Schwartz. The inability to close out the game in regular time and then take our chances in OT wasn't because of Schwartz either.

Individual mistakes were made in both losses that need to be rectified. Some of that can come by changes in personnel but the players also have to step up.

they lost becausr the DC did not have the proper personnel in the proper places...

There's reason to be concerned but I don't think we should lose sight that this is a good team.

Look at the really good players this team has. Wentz, Peters, Johnson, Jeffrey, Ertz, Ajayi, Agholor, Cox, Bennett, Graham, Barnett, Jones, Jenkins, Darby. Those are good players. Some aren't playing well right now, some aren't 100% right now and others are playing hurt but they are good players. They didn't become bad players over night.

Maybe this team isn't as good as we all hoped and thought coming in to this year. Maybe we did encounter a freak set of situations last year that all aided in our success. But this is a good team.

And actually some predicted it would be a slow start because we are so banged up.

    great personnel, no doubt

    Eagles problem now is coaching

In no way trying to be a negadelphian but with how this team is playing and the questionable play-calling/coaching and looking ahead at the upcoming schedule, the odds of losing 5 or 6 of the next 7 suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched.  This team needs to tighten up so many areas it’s extremely concerning.

They obviously can turn things around in a hurry.  Hopefully that starts this upcoming weekend.  A good arsekicking of a good Minnesota team would help the process of starting to ease a lot of concerns.

Vikings, Saints, Panthers, Jags in London and short week vs Giants concerns me...just dont lose to Dallas!

If I'm reading OTC ( https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/philadelphia-eagles ) correctly, his cap number is $13 Million. If we traded him, we'd have an $11 Million savings. Alone, that's not enough right now. Next season, he's accounting for $20 Million on the cap, but he won't be on the roster. At least not at $20 Million.

a Foles trade would certainly be one of the things that could lead to a Bell trade...

from thetre, a carefully structured contract could finish the job...

if Eagles want him, surely something could be worked out...of course JA would likely be part of the trade with the Steelers
