    Jalen Mills

Here is what I see short term at cornerback: Darby and Maddox outside with Mills pushing. Jones/LeBlanc inside. Douglas a fourth CB. That is, assuming Darby returns to full health. The advantage Darby and Maddox have is their ability to run. They match up better against speed than do Mills and Douglas. At safety, the starters are Malcolm and Rodney. Sendejo is the third S. Countess will have a shot as a S/CB backup. I don't want to look long term at either position. The Eagles will have some contract decisions to make and, of course, performance will dictate the actions taken. I like the CB situation a lot and I think S is much better with Sendejo here and I happen to think Countess can really help.

The 2002 to 2004 Defense is the Goal

If I were to say, the concerns are MLB and depth at DE. I actually think, though, that Phillip Daniels loves some of his younger DEs. He does not seem the least bit concerned there. Who plays MLB? My guess at this point would be Bradham, but we'll see how it plays out in the summer. Really like the secondary, LOVE the DT depth and I think the scheme is outstanding. Can it be as good as those great years with Jim Johnson? Tough to match those numbers. But this defense should stop the run and should have the ability to rush the QB in waves.

No, Jalen is a cornerback. He will cross train, as do all of the DBs, but he's here to play cornerback
  4. I understand the fans' reaction. I think the plan is for the team to address the reasoning in the near future. There were two public practices last year and the attendance was pretty good, and there were also a lot of fans that claimed tickets and didn't show and sold their tickets on the Internet. We DO have fans at the practices, but the NovaCare Complex has limited space. Certainly, though, I hear the fans and the team hears the fans.

  10. There is no official depth chart, and the way the Eagles are going to approach the formation of one is to see how it all plays out on the practice field in the months ahead. Just so we get that out of the way … We’re approaching mid-May, and it’s slow on the news side here for a while. The Rookie Camp happens this weekend.
