  1. Good. I did not care for his leaving on the day of the Eagles parade. It was disrespectful. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/03/tensions-seem-to-be-rising-between-zimmer-defilippo/amp/#referrer=https://www.google.com&amp_tf=From %1$s
  2. So you don't think coming off of major knee surgery or not having a deep threat has contributed to that?
  3. Flip was a good QB coach. His record as an OC has been just okay. Remains to be seen whether he's HC material. Timing. He could have waited one more day. Let the team at least enjoy its parade without such a distraction.

  5. Per Schefter. This sucks. A guy the Eagles could have used.

Is Jon Gruden in way over his head?

Gruden needs three years to be properly judged. It turns in large part on how successful the Raiders are in the upcoming drafts.
  7. http://raiderswire.usatoday.com/2017/01/14/oakland-raiders-to-file-relocation-papers-will-move-to-las-vegas/ The move will be the third in the franchise’s history, and first out of the state of California. As for the Raiders possibly re-branding the team’s logo and name, both remain in play. Raiders owner Mark Davis made it painfully obvious over the last year how unhappy he was with Oakland. It wasn’t until the 2016 season that Davis essentially refused to negotiate with anything the city wanted to present. Despite their efforts, a source close to Rapoport said that Oakland had indeed made zero headway in putting together a viable plan. “The city of Oakland has made no progress to keep the team, sources say. It has not come up with a stadium proposal that league or independent sources believe is credible. At this point, it is only a matter of time before they officially leave.” Davis met with the NFL on Tuesday to discuss relocation plans. The meeting left NFL vice president Eric Grubman reportedly “impressed,” and Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney Jr. saying Davis would make an announcement soon. The team has yet to make said official announcement to date, but that’s nothing more than a formality and Rapoport is as solid they come with his reports. The last hurdle to clear for the Raiders will be a vote by all of the NFL owners. The consensus already seems to be that this too will fall in the Silver and Black’s favor. Overall, the Raiders will require 24 of 32 votes from league owners in March to see their relocation plan officially approved. Raiders Wire will continue to monitor and update the situation.

1979 Rams 9-7 but were in the Super Bowl Part 2

Giants won the SB one year with a 9-7 team. Eagles missed the playoffs with a 10-6 team in 1991.

Cowboys just traded for Amari Cooper

Dallas has a history of trades like this. Two number ones (2000 and 2001) - that's right - two, for Joey Galloway who tore his ACL in the first game he suited up for Dallas. Later, Dallas trade a #1, 3 and 6 in 2009, plus a 7 in 2010 for Roy Williams. He had an unremarkable career in Dallas and was released after 40 games. Have to believe that Amari Cooper will have a similarly undistinguished career in Dallas.

NFL Owners Already Re-thinking Chargers in L.A.

Will be hard to put that genie back in the bottle. From what I've read, Kroencke has an iron clad lease with the Chargers. Seems like the better course of action is to a better job marketing the Chargers in LA.

    Cutting Vaeao

He's injured and can't contribute to the team. Last I heard, he cleared waivers and is now designated as Injured Reserve.
  13. Well this may be the most talked about QB class in years. Mayfield, Darnold, Allen and Rosen have all played impressively this preseason and are drawing raves from their coaches, teammates and fans. Meanwhile, the Giants drafted a running back whose hamstring is tweaked at the moment. Me thinks this could be a defining moment for the franchise - in a negative way of course.

    Eli Manning

Exactly right. His on the field production and potential is outweighed by his bs. He's bad for the team when you look at the big picture.
  15. Okay, we saw what a stud Saquon Barkley is. A beast. And what good did it do NY? This is a QB driven league. As long as Eli is behind center, NY is going nowhere.

    Eli Manning

Fair enough. Just remember which team's message board you are in.

    Eli Manning

He may not be on point with his remark, but the jury is still out on Barkley. To me, a #2 overall on a RB requires a generational type player, and I haven't seen anything from Barkley to indicate that he qualifies as such
  18. The insane thing is that crazy contract they gave KC - guaranteed. For a guy who never even won a playoff game. Has he ever even taken his team to the playoffs? And how about Josh Allen. Guy is really a pleasant surprise. Looks like a young McNabb - with a better head on his shoulders.

    Eli Manning

I feel your pain. False hopes for the future are all Giants fans have going for them right now. The truth is that the Giants had a good run, and it's that team's turn to suck for now.
