    NFC Championship: Packers @ 49ers

Packers @ 49ers (49ers Defeated the Packers 37-8 in San Francisco in Week 12)
  2. ........The NFL would have had a massive headache on their hands. I'm sure the NFL and College Football Playoff committee breathed a massive sigh of relief when that last pass in the 49ers-Seahawks game was just short of the goal line. If that game goes the other way, the NFL has a potentially MASSIVE scheduling headache because the CFP Committee and elected officials in New Orleans and Louisiana likely demand the Saints (who would have become the #2 seed) be scheduled for a Friday (1/10) Divisional Playoff game so the Superdome was fully available to LSU and Clemson for walk-throughs on Saturday and to assure people coming to NOLA for the CFP Title game on Monday (1/13) were able to fully experience New Orleans (while the CFP game was scheduled for 1/13 in the first place, once the semis were moved up to get them off New Year's Eve they looked at moving that championship game to Monday 1/6 but a Wizard World convention took up so much hotel space that would not be cleared in time along with other factors forced it to remain on Monday 1/13). That would have forced both NFC WC games to be on Saturday (as opposed to Sunday where they are scheduled) and both AFC games to Sunday to accommodate the Saints having to play on Friday due to the CFP title game.

  5. First time ever there has been an early season "flex" on Sunday Night Football: Not really a surprise after the 49ers lost at home to the previously winless Cardinals to fall to 1-5. With this week likely seeing a shellacking in Green Bay, we could see them 1-6. Chiefs become the first team in NFL history to play back-to-back Sunday Night games before the main "flex" period in Weeks 10-11 starts. This also likely means the Week 13 meeting between the 49ers and Seahawks will likely also be flexed out with right now Chargers-Steelers the favorites to take that slot. Would not be surprised if the 49ers completely tank to finish 1-15, get the #1 overall pick and be in a position to get a king's ransom from a team desperate for a starting QB willing to trade the store to get such since Jimmy G will be back next season.
  6. When the 49s gave a QB that huge deal that had played what 7 games? Started a chain. All Star Veteran QBS went if he gets that for 7 games I'm going to cash in. Then Minnesota gave Captain Average another rediculous deal. Next up is Rodgers and Ryan. By the time it comes around to Wentz it's going to cost so much money it's going to damage rest of team.
