You can never really tell with the Cardinals.

Just some thoughts:

-Solid coaching staff.

-Need to cut down on the penalties and overall mistakes (You were tied for the league lead in penalties, 4th in most penalized yards.)

-Need to beef up the secondary. 28th pass defense.

-Better running game, Edgerrin James is only slowing down. If im the Cardinals im taking Rashard Mendenhall at 16 if hes there. 29th rushing offense last year.

I'm assuming Leinart will start at QB. This could be his year to shine. So looking at your schedule i would predict 8-8 right now. But if you have a good draft (with an impact RB and CB) and Leinart steps up i could see you going 10-6

Biggest question is at QB for Arizona and some holes on D.

Kurt Warner looks to be the frontrunner for the starting job but how long before he gets hurt? Leinart has shown nothing yet and his maturity/leadership is a huge question mark.

Until they can actually prove something it will probably be a up and down 8-8 year for the Cardinals. Seattle is still the best in that division and only one team from the West will make it out.

You'll be lucky to win 3 games after the bye week. You could easily start 5-3 or 6-2 but it's downhill after that.

At least 4 losses (to the NFC East), plus the pats and the vikes. So optimistically, 10-6, but you'd have to sweep your division, which isn't all that tough, but it is the cards.

My realistic prediction: 8-8, just miss a wild card spot, 2nd in the division to the hawks, but beat both the hawks and the rams once..

I think a lot of it relies on Leinart; if he can play solid and get some help from the defense, the Cards are a solid team. If they go 4-2 or 5-1 in the division, I think the chances of making the playoffs is pretty good.

They seem to be modeling themselves after the Steelers which makes sense considering Whisenhunt came from them. I think they are going to end up taking a runningback with their first pick, but shaky quarterback play is going to cost them.

I go to college in Arizona so I watched a fair share of Cardinal games, and they were literally around 5 plays away from being like 12-4. They lost so many odd games last season.

As for waking up at 10:00 on Sundays for the games, I really don't mind it at all. I actually enjoy it. I just literally roll out of bed and put on football for the rest of the day. Beats the hell out of waiting for the games to come on at 1:00. Another advantage is that the Sunday and Monday night games are always finished at a reasonable time at like 9:30, unlike on the east coast where you are usually up until 1:00AM watching the games.

10:00 AM games LOL

Sucks to be you.

not really

I'd take 10 am early games over 02:30 am "prime time" games any day of the week :-(

I always go out late as hell saturday nights, the last thing I would want to do is get up at 8am to catch an Eagles game. It's hard enough getting up at 11 for the 1 pm games

For me the late night games ends around 4-5am :D

But I cant complain, I get to watch 4 games a week :)
