LOL, so you got one stat, his W-L record over his last 24 games and you basically gonna write it backwards and inside out for a couple paragraphs like a high school kid BS'ing on his test. BTW, W-L for Qb's is even more dubious than it is for MLB pitchers, there's a reason its not an official stat.

His career W-L record is actually pretty good.  His stats both traditional and peripheral are solid enough also.  Stop BS'ing your way through the discussion, he's no Tom Brady but he is DEFINITELY one of the top 25-40 Qb's in the game, backed by the stats and the tape.  He is DEFINITELY better than a half dozen Qb's who will start this sunday and he is DEFINITELY a better option to keep a team like the Titans afloat until Mariota gets back.

Just because Mariota is mobile does not mean kap is the same player. Mariota is not a read option QB. Also Mariota is day to day not out for the season so not signing kap is not throwing the season away. Let's just keep inventing reasons why kap should play though. Absolutely no argument for kap actually being on a team like usual.

Also, are we really to believe that without training camp, preseason, practice, meetings, conditioning, etc whatsoever,  Kaepernick would be able to just waltz in and play well?

The guy was complete trash last year until the last 2-3 games which pretty much saved his stat sheet and hasn't shown any real interest in playing since.

Doesn't matter, he's half-black and he  was  good at one time and even though he's asking for wayyyyyy too much money and he's created a media circus around himself that no one wants to deal with so he's being denied employment b/c he's trying to champion a humanitarian cause in an inappropriate venue and he's entitled to play football for somebody on that basis alone otherwise we're all racist.

If I missed anything I'm sure someone will chime in.

I have yet to find someone who clamor for Kaep have an answer as to why RG3 isn't getting calls either when he is all black, son of military parents, and has very similar stats to Kaep.

Why? Very similar reasons.

Distractions, on/field and just not good enough to be worth said distractions

 its really not that complicated

Matter of fact, most who scream for Kaep, don't really even watch/know football. They're just parroting.

Most common response to me bringing up RG3 when discussing Kaep..

"What's RG3?"

It's too late for Kaep to get on a team this season. No one will take on the attention it would bring, and without a TC, preseason, practice, any kind of chemistry with WRs, he has no shot of being productive at all. By the time he'd learn the offense, know the plays and terminology the season would be almost over. Asking why he isn't on a team is kinda pointless at this point.

Works in Madden.  What's the problem?

Good point. Why do we even have these OTAs, training camps and such anyway.

It's not like the first few weeks of the regular season have been at sloppy since such needless team related events were scaled back or anything...

I mean the typical NFL playbook is probably about maybe 2-3 pages long at the most right?

All Kaep really has to know is to throw to the open guy. How complex could it really be?

Interesting point . . . although I'm not hearing / seeing much clamor for Kaep now anyways.

RG3 has pretty much dropped off the face of the Earth. I mean really, if you can't play well enough

to stay on the Browns roster there's not much hope that anyone is going to want you above league minimum,

I would think. Nature takes it's course as time goes by . . . the sycophants eventually go off to attend to other

'causes' or other activities and the crummy teams stay crummy . . . but at least they won't have to deal with a media circus.

Still feeling sorry for a guy who set fire to $9 million, huh?

Seeing this thread title always make my day a little better.

The plot thickens: https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2017/10/06/soros-behind-nfl-protests/

How ironic is it that the NFLPA would be helping the Libs to dismantle the foundations of the NFL?!

The very institution that lifted their members out of the lower & middle classes and put them in with the 1%.

Ya can't make this stuff up . . .

He is a 28-30 career starter. This is pretty good if you are ignorant and could not be bothered to know reality.

This is where all the scum who are judging others for not hiring a jerk who is also a loser reside, somewhere outside of reality.

If a High School kid knows how to use Google, then what exactly are you?

His career TD to INT is very good at 72 - 30. He is probably OK in Madden 16.

He is a joke as an NFL QB. You are a joke for not even knowing his career record and judging others about their views on him.

Fantasy Football players want stats over wins. All NFL GMs, Coaches, and Owners want wins.

Here is a history of what this protest has been about:

  • A grumpy demoted loser with a guaranteed contract sulks on the bench.
  •    An NFL player with former military service informs him that he is a complete jerk for sitting and kneeling would be more respectful.
  •    He kneels from now on as a backup QB drawing all the attention to himself
  • Other players join in including Brandon Marshall the lesser.
  •    Marshall loses some endorsements, complains that these companies should not stop endorsing him (yes, he is that stupid).
  •    Marshall is saved by greedy scum Russell Simmons who exploits poor black people with a high interest and fee fake credit card called RushCard.
  •    Poor black people continue to suffer, but Marshall gets paid. All is well in the NFL.
  • Kaepernick wears pig socks to publicize his views that all cops are pigs.
  • Kaepernick wears a Castro shirt to a presser with Dolphins reporters.
  •    Kaep is completely revealed as a hate-filled idiot radical as he praises Cuba over America for about 10 minutes of back and forth with a Cuban-American reporter
  • Kaepernick continues to act like an idiot with race baiting garbage with no basis in reality.
  • The Summer arrives and Kaepernick sniffers now no longer care about police brutality or racial profiling. They are ONLY protesting that Kaepernick has to be hired back to the NFL
  •    This includes the mainstream liberal accusation that the NFL who has 70% black players is a racist institution.
  • Preseason starts and a few players are still kneeling, sitting, or raising fists.
  •    Beast-Brain is sitting in Oakland because he has always been an ignorant A-hole.
  •    Liberal sports writers wrongly assume he is supporting Kaepernick.
  • The Seahawks consider hiring Kaepernick but are unable to add him to their combustable locker room.
  •    This room is filled with hatred in the form of Sherman and Bennett who will turn on Russell Wilson for not being a radical and embrace Kaepernick
  •    Even Pete Carroll is not crazy enough to do this to Russell Wilson who is the only reason the Seahawks are not an 8-8 team with a very good D every year.
  • Tannehill is injured and ignorant race-baiters all clamor for Kaepernick to be hired in Miami.
  •    Anyone with any integrity who has read the Castro interview knows that he can never work for a Florida team. This does not stop the endless race-baiting anyway.
  • Flacco is injured and Biscotti sees value in the player but is worried that the radical scumbag aspect will alienate fans. He discusses hiring Kaepernick with Ray Lewis and plan to meet again the next morning.
  •    Meanwhile, Nessa posts a picture of Biscotti as slave owner and Ray as a house ____.
  • Michael Bennett is told by the police that there is an active shooter in the casino and he should stay down. He runs like a suspect and he is pursued and captured. The police use some harsh language at a suspect and point a gun at him. One of the body cameras was not functioning and this is unacceptable.
  •    Bennett uses this faux-outrage to pretend his rights were violated to increase sales for his upcoming book.
  • The Season starts with a smattering of kneeling, sitting, and fist raising. The story is basically dying because no one is listening to this highly ineffective form of protest.
  • Trump opens his big fat ignorant mouth and morphs this protest into the NFL vs. Trump.
  •    The Golden State Warriors win yet another contest as they make Trump look like a petty jerk.
  •    The Trump vs' the Sports World weekend includes the tone-deaf idiotic Penguins pledging their allegiance to the Cheeto Facist at the worst time possible.
  • Ratings slide as kneelers, sitters, and fist raises alienate lots of fans and don't help a single minority in a police interaction in any noticible way at all.
  •    Direct TV starts issuing refunds from fans who are sick of the disrespect while on the job and in your face form of weak sauce protest.

I may have missed a few bullet points but it was about pouting(Kaep) race-baiting(Kaep) protesting against freedom of speech(owners must hire someone), protesting to sell your book, protesting and then crying about losing endorsements, and I think somewhere in there was something about racial profiling and cops shooting minorities, but it is hidden about 10 layers deep at this point. It is also rejected by everyone who is disgusted by the format of protest.

Its the age old logic fail of I can do what I want but you can't do what you want. As if we are not allowed to reject their form of protest as asinine.

OBJ probably had a representative summary on what NFL players really feel about these protests.

  • His first TD was about him (peeing like a dog)
  • His second TD was about brotherhood of the NFL with a raised fist (maybe it has something to do with Freddie Gray or Philando, but OBJ has never said anything, so who cares what he does?)

The best are the a**-clowns pretending that all of the above makes Kaepernick the next Jackie Robinson.

Kap and his girlfriend are trying way too hard at this point .   Whats a shame is I truly belive kap wants to be better and doing this with his heart .... But is blinded by his girls intentions ..... He is like a first year college kid believing everything his professors tell him.   His girl is one twisted **** .... He prob would be playing football right now if it was not for her .  BTW if you dont now by my posts  I am no where near a Kap supporter .

I know some Brazilians who's been disenfranchised by their leader. I know some Filipinos who are subjugated by a dictator. There's some Russians who are scared to say a peep about their government or else they'll disappear.

I know I'm taking things a bit far, but people in this country need to take a step back and stop with the idiocy.
