NFC Wildcard: Falcons @ Rams.

Recommended Posts

Now we get to hear how Atlanta is back and how the Eagles don't have a chance because the Falcons want to get back to the SB.  I love everything about this situation right now.  :flex:

I don't trust Jax right now.  The last 2 games they haven't looked the same.  I think the Bills are going to edge them.  It would be better if Jax won because they are more of a threat to NE.

Jax would have to get past pitt first bc they are #3 seed

We lost to the Rams in the 01 season opener in OT 20-17.

Long time ago. My mistake. But it was still a re-match, which was my main point.

I want the Falcons and then the Vikes.  I don't really want the Saints or Carolina.

Me too. I said in the thread about the Eagles being underdogs that I want the media to downplay the Eagles chances, making the team angry, so they'll take it out on their opponent.

Seeing as this situation includes Nick Foles instead of Wentz, I don't

2001 NFCCG: Eagles lose to St. Louis who they had beaten during the regular season

We beat the Rams in 1999, the year they won the Super Bowl.

I expect our defense to be ready. It really comes down to what our offense does. But, I'm expecting the defense that we saw when we were on the streak. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I think our defense needed some rest and some negative press.

Someone needed to correct me: we've only faced the Falcons three times, and we lead the playoff series 2-1.

I like the Cam/Kuechly combo more favorable than the Brees/Saints RB combo

I don't think anybody wants to face Luke Kuechly. You don't know what you're going to get from Cam, you know what you're getting from Kuechly.

With Koy Detmer as the QB, IIRC (McNabb sat that game with an injury).

I think that it's the perfect motivational situation. But Foles has to play at least as good as an average backup.

that was the game Buckhalter,  who was dominating, got hurt in the first half

That was the NFCCG. Eagles led at the half, and Buck was carrying the load.

Looks like McNabb played that game.

I'm old, what can I say? I remember Donovan sat a game near the end of the season, and Koy played and won that game.

Most of us, I think, wouldn't care less if our starting QB was able to play.

I’m not one of them. I think they’re the weakest of the NFCS teams but like we saw today anything can happen

I rejoice that the Eagles are playing next week and not sitting at home.

The defensing conference champs with a different offensive coordinator and coming off an all-time SB collapse. Compared to the rest of the field, Atlanta is the best draw.  Atlanta has majorly struggled in the red zone. Look at how many FGs they are settling for.

Koy played 2 weeks prior (our bye was week 16 that year) against the Pats.
