Is it really a whistle or is it Sean Payton's sphincter muscle contracting because the Rams are driving?

That should've been a taunting flag. The cover guy goes right to the returner's face.

agreed, we both know if that would have been the Rams they would thrown the flag

So, basically a loophole lets him do it. It says no noisemaking devices and that doesn't cover his lips.

Can you imagine sitting next to this idiot??

These days Mitchell routinely hits the 120-decibel mark, a threshold loud enough to cause pain and permanent damage in a person's ears. That's the equivalent of a thunder cap or power saw. No one who's heard Mitchell doubts it, including Canan who said he once saw Mitchell break a wine glass in Atlanta with a whistle.

Problem is, if he's doing it with his lips, not sure they can do anything about it.

They can do anything they want.

Throw him out of the game.

Its a multi-billion dollar entertainment product. It is not controlled by one a-hole whistling non-stop.

I would suspect that unless the Rams complain to an official, nothing will be done to find out. It's hard to know for sure if it's just annoying TV viewers, or if it's also being heard on the field.

remember the days when guys just made tackles, got up and went to the huddle?

also remember when ints weren't immediately followed by the entire defense running into the end zone to celebrate.

If they cant here the QB who is a few feet from them I wouldn't doubt they cant hear a whistle from the stands very well.

Rams need a turnover or quick 3 and out

Score on defense would be ok too.
