Redskins or Giants.  Save Raiders for next year.  I think its Redskins.  They have an actual Qb competition for opening day and that front office is certain to provide some moments.  Giants despite being a NY team are one of the more boring teams in the NFL personality wise.

Just heard on NFL Radio. It’s the Raiders.

Oakland Raiders to be featured on HBO's 'Hard Knocks'

Just film, baby.

The Oakland Raiders will be featured on this year's edition of "Hard Knocks," HBO's critically acclaimed series documenting the drama and competition of an NFL training camp.

Oakland was one of five teams eligible to be compelled to participate in the program (Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, Washington Redskins). This will be the franchise's first appearance on the show and one that is likely to be highly anticipated when it debuts Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Entering the second season of the second Jon Gruden era, the Raiders boast a number of notable characters, not least of whom is the camera-friendly coach. Gruden, in his 13th year as a head coach, is one of the most quotable and entertaining coaches to ever by mic'd up by NFL Films and has extensive on-camera experience; he worked as ESPN's Monday Night Football color commentator for eight seasons.

The Raiders are welcoming a lot of new faces to the organization, including receivers Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams, linebackers Vontaze Burfict and Brandon Marshall, guard Richie Incognito, tackle Trent Brown, No. 4 overall pick Clelin Ferrell and No. 24 overall selection Josh Jacobs, all of whom will be experiencing their first Raiders training camp and their first with Gruden.

All told, the Raiders spent the third-most amount of money in the league this offseason acquiring new talent, according to Spotrac ($296.7 million). The man who spent all that money is also a new face: first-year general manager and former NFL Network draft guru Mike Mayock

Among the notable returning faces to Oakland is three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr.

The show will also document what is likely the last training camp in Oakland. The Raiders are scheduled to move to Las Vegas for the 2020 season, but have not detailed their plans for training camp ahead of the inaugural campaign. They are reported to be eyeing Reno, Nevada, as a potential training camp locale.

Oakland is the first AFC West team to be featured on "Hard Knocks" since Herman Edwards' Kansas City Chiefs took center stage in 2007, the series' first year back after a five-season hiatus.

Figured the Raiders would be this year after the signing of Brown. Hard to say if they'll be bad this year going forward, so HBO and the NFL want to cash in now.

Booooooooo...really wanted to see the Giants on the show.

No worries, they'll be eligible next season. Well, unless they fire Shurmur.

I thought they would wait til the Vegas year for Raiders, but its hard to say no to a team with Jon Gruden, 3 first rd picks, Antonio Brown fresh off his divorce, a QB who is on iffy ground and whoah- is that Ritchie Incognito???  Will he wear a MAGA hat in the locker room?  Burfict and Marshall round up what is nothing short off a gang of pirates.

It really would have added an extra layer of interest if this was during the move to Vegas.

The first episode wasn't bad. I have to admit that when they started playing "The Autumn Wind", with John Facenda's narration of the first line, I got a chill and it took me back in time to the 70's. Then they ruined it by having the Hard Knocks narrator finish the rest of the poem. Facenda had such a great voice.

Gruden got soft.

Don't know why HBO felt like we needed a lesson in horse penis, but we got one for some reason.

Saw it today, first time I ever watch an episode of Hard Knock.  Gruden came off as awfully image conscious.

How is that even possible?

I've watched almost every season, but I refuse to watch the Cowboys. I just won't pollute my house that way.

Gruden is just as annoying on Hard Knocks as he was on MNF. More so, even. Knock on wood, if you're with me...

He also really seems to love Peterman too. The fact that Nathan Peterman might be a #2 QB shows how terrible Gruden has always been at evaluating QB talent. This after all is a guy who passed on Aaron Rodgers because of Chris Simms. Gruden said he would really have to fail as a coach for Simms to not pan out. Well....he didn't. When he got to Tampa he wanted Rob Johnson as his QB. He brought Bobby Hoying to Oakland thinking he would be his starter. He said Johnny Manziel and Tim Tebow were special elite talents. He even almost returned to Oakland telling them to draft Manziel over Carr. Wonder if Carr remembers that? Then you have his handling of the Antonio Brown situation. He seems to just accept it. Brown is causing such a distraction and Gruden is goofing around with him, letting him do what he wants. BTW where has Josh Jacobs been on Hard Knocks? Haven't seen their top rookie/starting RB.

This is exactly why I listed Gruden as my most overrated Super Bowl winning head coach awhile back.
