Jeff Fisher Says He Misses Coaching, Players

Recommended Posts

Anything other than a DC sounds like a "fool me once, fool me twice" situation.

I'm sure he misses the HC salary as well . . . right around the $5 - $7 mil. mark.

Yeah maybe a decent DC. I suppose there are worse. But wouldn't let him within a mile of my quarterback.

I actually think he might make an ok college coach at a lower level school.

I'd hire him as a special advisor/scout for the defensive side of the ball.

Then whatever he told me I'd do the complete opposite.

Is the feeling mutual though ? That season of hard knocks with the Rams showed me while he might be an okay coach(or maybe was) that he has the personality and as much charisma as attic insulation. He can he inspire players and his coaching staff when he'd put you to sleep ?

The Quarterback anti-whisperer. No thanks.

That can be easily remedied - hire a good OC and hand the keys of the offense to him.

He was a master politician, knew how to shift blame, work ownership, suck up to the League higher ups, get himself on committees. Carried himself like he was a good head coach too, knew how to do that. Unfortunately as a head coach he was mediocre.
