Week 6 Open Discussion.

Recommended Posts

Our first early morning game kicks off at 9:30AM EST when the Bucs and Panthers kickoff in London. Panthers backup Kyle Allen is looking to go 4-0 in Cam Newton's absence.

The Winless Redskins will play their first game without Jay Gruden when they travel to the winless Dolphins. Someone might possibly win this game.

The Eagles will return to the scene of the greatest game ever played in NFL History, when they return to Minneapolis for the first time since winning Super Bowl LII. Zach Brown has called Kirk Cousins the weakest part of the Vikings offense. Hopefully he's ready to back that up.

The 4-0 49ers will travel a bit south to take on the Rams who are on a 2 game losing streak, and have a 10 days rest, while the Niners have a short week after playing on Monday night.

The Cowboys are also on a 2 game losing streak, and may have just what the Dr ordered when they travel north to take on the winless Jets. How sweet a Jets upset would be here.

Talk about the games you'll be watching.

Through 6 games the Patriots D is allowing a net 1 point per game.

  • The 49ers are giving up a net 9 points per game which would be the best in almost any other year.

Through 165 drop backs Danny Ducks is a Christian Ponder clone. 4.61 ANY/A vs Ponder's career 4.60

  • Ponder's GM was not a genius for picking him at #12 overall

The Vikings are vulnerable against the pass:

  • Carr 103.7 rating
  • Rodgers 101.2 rating
  • Ryan 85.5 rating
  • Chase Daniel 101.4 rating
  • Ignore 2 of the worst draft picks in NFL history (Trubisky and Jones)

The Vikings top 2 run game vs the Eagles top 2 rush defense is the matchup of the week.

Dan Snyder has now owned the DC team for 21 seasons

They have been ranked 20th or worst in:

  • offense points - 14 times
  • offense yards - 7 times
  • defense points - 11 times
  • defense yards - 10 times

They have 0 seasons with 11+ wins.

They are on their way to their 7th season with 11+ losses.

Houston at KC could be one of those 41-37 type games but it also has huge implications for the bye.

It may be common knowledge that Mahomes is the best NFL QB through 22 starts but its also true that Watson is the best NFL QB through 27 starts.

  • Watson has a 100+ rating in 15 of his 27 starts including 3 perfect 158.3 rating games.

If Houston can win in KC and in Indy the next 2 weeks, they will be looking great for the inside track on the #2 seed.

There are only 4 games this week with 2 teams with winning records playing each other. So much garbage this week.

Winston is garbage.

And yes. That national anthem chick would get the D.

That will change drastically. So far in their 6 games they have played the 32nd, 31st, 30th, 24th, 26th, and 22nd ranked offenses in the league in PPG. Their schedule so far has been laughably easy, especially in terms of opposing offenses. They've literally played the three worst offenses in the league and three others that aren't all that far behind.

And their next two games: Jets (31st) and Browns (25th).

Winston sacked again.

Winston picked again.

Can't believe they haven't moved on from that scrub yet.

I could see them wanting to see what he could do with Arians as HC, but it would be surprising if they re-sign him at this point. A #1 overall pick being allowed to enter the final year of his contract with no extension is sight is telling.

Idk how you bench Kyle. He's playing well.

Plus I do think sitting Cam Newton, letting him get healthy gives you a valuable trade piece in a QB starved league.

Funny how quickly things changed. So much hype in 2015 with Winston and Mariota being the next big time QBs in the NFL... Now there's a good chance neither stay with their team past their rookie contract.
