RAMS CUT RB TODD GURLEY

Recommended Posts

They were trying to trade him, so it's not a huge shock to me. I didn't think anyone would trade for him.

Guy dropped so hard like a bag of bricks. He's barely talked about these days.

Yeah I mean it's been a dramatic drop off from a player who at one point was in the MVP discussions and was crucial to that team.

That's why you don't spend top 10 picks on running backs.

IMO, it’s an even bigger problem when the rookie deal is up and you have to re-sign them. Two franchise tags seems like the only way to go.

The way they pound him, Zeke will be the next dropoff I imagine.

He just signed a big money extension 2 years ago that made him the highest paid RB at the time

The Rams went for it. I can’t blame them for that. They came close to winning it all, but now they’ll have to suffer the consequences of those decisions not paying off. This team will bottom out, trade stars like Donald for a bunch of picks and reset in the next year or so.

man, running backs being "has been's" at 25.... it just seems so unfair

I mean that's crazy. Over $17M per year for a RB who has really struggled the last couple of years with knee issues.

That headline is misleading and got me.  That's what he made the last 2 years

I'll give the Rams credit for at least cutting their losses and acknowledging it now.

However that Jarred Goff contract looks horrendous.

Yea but he doesn’t have an injury history.
